Blog Entries: 1 | My take on, “Julie and Julia” and Internet Marketing. By: Ray Houghton. As I drove home after the movie, I suddenly had an 'Epiphany', why not copy what Julie did in the movie, but use Internet Marketing instead of cooking! You see, I also have a blog, I am also a rather disgruntled employee, I also am living a quiet and desperate life and am a dreamer. Some two weeks ago I decided to invest in Stone Evan’s turnkey website, designed just for me, selling affiliate products – http://www.rayhoughton.com . As in the movie, I view him and his ilk in awe and as compared to Julia Child – is a consummate professional at Internet Marketing, as was Julia in the World of Cooking. “PluginProfits” calls for some rather intense learning and the ‘curve’ is quite steep, which after all is expected. When bringing products to market, promoting them, delivering them, following up, creating Customer Service and all the intricacies of auto-responders, SEO and email targeting –is not easy. So, cutting to the chase, I am required to write, submit and publish Articles as one of the most important ways of generating traffic to my website. So I thought to myself, why not write articles (they suggest 3 - 4 weekly, or more) and also put them up on my Blog, at Newbies are "Guru's" Too! The two sites above are included, only because they are relevant and necessary to this Article, and those to follow every few days. I am going to now lay out a ‘Time-line’ and ‘To-do’ list regarding my “Julie and Julia Style Blog”. Here is what I am mulling over:- Rather than cooking 546 delicious dishes over a period of 365 days, I plan to break “PlugInProfits” suggested steps, into my own “30 Days to Success”. Of course this might run over-time, as I am a “Newbie” and might need more time to complete the correct steps! As I am starting a new job this week I might have some time restrictions, but this “Blog will Rock”, and I don’t plan to hold any punches. So in closing my ‘first installment’, I invite you to visit my Blog when you have the time and the inclination. However, for those that are 'energetically challenged', I will also copy/paste the Blog into the Warrior Forum..........so, to be continued! END of Introduction. |
