Hi,
I don't know what Istockphoto policy is, but when you use other people pictures, you need to give them credit for it, you need to check with Istockphoto.

Do you want to use this picture instead of your own? or is it for advertising purposes?

It is important to brand yourself and place a picture of you on your website, or none at all.

Normally, placing a person's photo without his awareness is illegal. You need to get his permission before doing so.

In your case, you will promote a product for your soul purpose or for your profit by using his identity. If you get his permission, then that's fine. But if not I would love to say NO!

I recommend using yourself and yourself alone!

You'd be better off with no photo than a photo of someone else I'd think, especially if it gets out taht it's not you. People will find every reason to find a loophole and convince themselves and others that online marketers are dishonest, so you should do what you can to quell their fears.

I would say it would be illegal to use anyone's picture without their permission, and more than likely people who will allow you to use them will charge a fortune, much more than a person on a budget would like to spend.

There are much better things you can spend money on if you have it in your budget, like SEO, list building, revamping your site, etc.

I am a young female myself, yet I have no problems with using myself on my own site, though I would NEVER let someone else use me.

Using your own name and photo on your site is how you brand yourself and give people a chance to get to know who you are.

Another example of this is rewriting the articles on your site that are written by Stone. They are nice little bits about the companies or wahtever, but if you have your name there and then articles he wrote, it won't be as personal.

Just think, you go to a site written by John Brown, whose image is right there at the top, yet every article on the page is credited to Joe White. John Brown doesn't seem like a very reliable source, does he?

That's why everything on your personalized version of the site should be yours and yours alone.

Customization is the key, and would be the right thing to do in my opinion.

Once you purchase the photo it is yours to use. You don't need permission to place it on your website, thats the reason they sell them and you buy them.

I wouldn't pretend the guy in the photo is actually selling something himself by saying "I" etc.. Instead I would place the photo next to your your add and promote the product. You can let people assume it is him selling it without ever saying so.

Find out how this guy went from being over $40,000 in debt to having total financial freedom and how you can to.Click Here: Freedom ~

I agree 100% that you should not name the man in the photo as the seller, especially if you plan on keeping in contact with your customers for future sales. They may become confused if they buy from "Fred" from the picture, but they are receiving emails from a strange woman claiming to have done business with them. I could see some spam complaints arising for no reason, other than confusion.

For future reference, you can find photos and other images that are free to use for commercial purposes, and you can get them for free. Try searching "public domain images" on Google, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Since u have mentioned that U are intend to buy , then make sure the one who sell u could give u the word that u won't be involoved in any kinda of legal issue.

better with contract. Then even if there is some problem, it will be b/w that shop and that man, not your trouble.

It is good to be more considearte and thoughtful.
