Hello guys. Has anyone had a success with article marketing? Recently I decided to focus on writing articles. I try to write 1-2 articles a day and submit them to Ezine Articles, Go articles, Gather and Squidoo lenses. Also I use article submission service. My website is balancing between 2 and 3 page of google search results for INTERNET BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES keyword. I hope article marketing will help me boost my rankings. What is your opinion about article marketing, apart from search engines benefits has anyone generated any sales from articles? Best Regards Dan |

I agree, article marketing is the best way to promote your website. Articles that you submit today will be in the search engines for years to come. The better the quality the more it will be distributed to other websites, that= more back links to your website and that= more traffic and that= more $$$ for you!

I agree article marketing is very nice. I have been concentrating alot on doing it effectively. I just had an article published on the 11th and when I checked on the 12th it had 373 views. So in one day I think thats pretty good. The only down side there was only 2 URL clicks and hasnt been used yet. I am just tweaking and using as many methods as I can learn. |

The thing with article marketing is that it is not a short term marketing strategy but yields eventually in the middle to long run. If done correctly, you get to rank fairly fast with the search engines for your keyword phrase but traffic comes much later. Also, it is a numbers game like most internet marketing strategies. Hence, the number of articles you write (of course not dispensing with the quality), the number of article directories you submit to (also the quality of the article directories is important), the number of keyword phrases you optimize for(the relevance/targetting of these keywords is also key) etc all have a bearing in determining the volume of traffic you will eventually get. |

The number one importance to article marketing in my opinion is to build backlinks. If you are using a submission service you can build them quickly. The more backlinks the higher your page ranks for Google searches and the more free traffic you get.

Dan, Article marketing is a good way to promote your website. But there are a couple of things you might change to improve your results. Rather than writing 1-2 articles per day, cut that down to 1-2 per week. Any more than that and you're competing with yourself in the article submission sites. Also, the quality of your work is bound to improve. And quality does count with real people-- if you don't believe me, ask yourself, when was the last time a BOT signed up for anything? Never trust any article submission service or auto-submitter, mostly because the submission sites that accept auto-submission are not visited by real people. Instead, invest the time to set up accounts in non-auto submission sites where only REAL people are looking for REAL articles. Oh, and one more thing. If you're really doing all that work, I tend to wonder when you're doing any other type of marketing? If you ask me, it's never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket. Branch out... a good marketer should be using at least three different types of marketing. That's one reason the 30 Days To Success is so great-- it explains all the different ways to market. I say, pick the three that you're most comfortable with and run with them. Marige |

Not sure what you label as "submission service"? I use SubmitYourArticle and Unique Article Wizard to submit my articles and these sites accept submissions just fine, ArticleAlley.com, ArticlesBase.com, ArticlesFactory.com, EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com, IdeaMarketers.com, and SearchWarp.com. That is just a few of them. Real people visit the above sites everyday looking for articles. Just wondering what you are labeling as auto-submission sites, are they different? I have seen a few different thoughts on article marketing. Some Authors only submit articles to a few directories. They seem to be well known and have a following. While others who also write quality articles want as large a reader base as possible while also gaining backlinks. They, for the most part, use submission services to reach not only the most popular Article Directories but also the many small not so well known directories. I never really understood why some write 2-3 or more articles a day. Quality will take a big hit but a lot of people do it. I prefer to write 3-4 articles a week, Blog, and post to social sites along with traffic exchanges and sites of that nature.

Hi Dan, Article marketing is a huge part and a big reason why my traffic is going up nearly every week. I had back-to-back-to-back-to-back record traffic weeks the last 4 weeks. I use SYA to distribute my articles and submit only 2 a week. The thing is, I use blogging and social bookmarking along with article marketing to increase my traffic. I've noticed my traffic from the search engines going up significantly because my constant efforts are bringing my back link totals up. Like Marige said, it would be wise to mix up your marketing efforts. Fresh content, back links, and quality back links will lead you to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Cheers, Matt |
