As far as I know there isn't a thread here for PIPS members to exchange links with each other (if I am wrong please let me know). We have one for exchanging blog comments and a couple more for getting links from each other in various ways... but not for exchanging website links.

Reciprocal linking is NOT dead and it does still work! It's not as effective as it once was but it's still a good way to get keyword anchored backlinks and does help increase your search engine rankings.

Here's how I think we should do this...

1) Reply to this thread and post your linking information.
2) Place a link on your website to any or all the sites that reply here.
3) PM the site owner and let them know you have linked to their site and give them the url to the page it's on so they can verify and return the favor, if they haven't already.

I am going to start a new page on my site strictly for linking to PIPS members who reply here. It will be linked directly from my home page. So these links will only be one click away from my home page. I encourage you all to do something similar.

You are under no obligation to link to everyone that replies here even if they link to you. But at least tell them if you aren't going to link back and the reason for it so they can take your link down and get some feedback as to why you don't want to link to them.

Please don't try to game this or take advantage of your fellow PIPSters. Let's all be fair here! We are all trying to help each other out so don't get greedy. And remember if you take someones link down for any reason after an exchange agreement it's common courtesy to tell them.

Give people a few days to reply after you add their link. Not everyone is on here all the time.

Ok, if there is anything I forgot here that should be mentioned then please let me know. Or if you think of a better way to do this.

Hi Trent, if you go to my home page, Small Business Ideas, and scroll down the left side a little you will see a "create account" link under the sign in form Create an account then sign in after confirming an email and feel free to add a link to both your site and blog. Any one can do it easy enough. For some reason the site doesn't tell you to but you will have to confirm an email.

No reciprocal links needed, just add yours. My site is PR3, not much really, but it could help a little with a couple links for anyone inclined.

Fantastic idea! I have always meant to do a resource page or a directory listing but have never found a good template to use thats easy to manage.....
