Personal Growth

What is personal growth?

Every day we hear people talk about personal growth, what is it?
I found out this definition by one of my mentors..

It is the process of responding positively to a change. This involves risk as you step out from the known or comfort zone to the unknown. It further goes on to say,all your growth will depend on your activity. Your strength and growth will come only through continuous efforts and struggle. There will be no growth without putting in efforts.

So as pips members, we can stand back and reflect on this statement.. is there any personal growth or not?

Any contribution please?

Thank you

Charles

Hi Charles - Good topic, thanks! My comments are these:

One of my favorite sayings is 'there is nothing constant except change'.

Hence, we need to be strong, and ready to 'roll with the punches'. Sometimes easier said that done.

I like to look at everything as if it is in an experiment and learn from it, so that next time I can try to do better.

There is always going to be room for more growth - be it spiritually, emotionally, in our careers, or any part of our life.

The way to grow is to just keep on trying to be at the top of our game! Forgive others and forgive ourselves and then move on, being thankful for what we have.

Hi Pat,
Yes it is true, if we do not change, then nothing will change. We have to change the way we think, save or invest our hard earned dollar and even changing the way we dress, eat and react to some situations. Change is very important in our every day life!
Thanks for the contribution.

Hi Usha,
Personal growth is an ongoing process. One needs to give room for personal growth other wise you will remain static. Let us work hard to bring more Kiwis to this forum. Great to see fellow Kiwis, hope to catch up soon!
Thank you for the contribution.

Charles
