Need help - Website Page Rank is Zero

I have checked my Web site Rank in google and it says zero

Is this common?

I would appreciate your inputs and ideas ?

Your site is relatively new.

The way to get ranked is to get backlinks.

The way to get backlinks for free is to submit blogs and articles using your site URL in the signature or bio-box and posting in forums.

You may also want to check the new Day 12 in the 30 Days to Success training for a low-cost ($5 per month) program to help you create backlinks from your blog posts (as separate pages which can all rank.)

The way to do back linking in any case is by using targeted keywords that focus on what you have to offer on your site. Optimize your site with content containing those keywords.

Use the keywords in the title and body of your advertising.

Of limited value is submitting your lnks to search engines directly, as well.

You've goT to work at it consistently and aggressively over time. I have seen it work first hand using the techniques I have mentioned above.

Number one thing is don't waste your time and energy getting discouraged.

Get determined to succeed instead!

Don't worry about PageRank. Just do as Pat said and get as many backlinks as possible. The PR will come. You don't need PR to get traffic, and traffic is much more important as that's what generates sales.

The position in which your website ranks in Google is different than Page Rank. Page Rank is a numerical ranking of 0 - 10, where 10 being the most authoritative in the eyes of Google. There are many different factors that determine what Page Rank Google gives a website.

Exactly... a site can have a PR0 and still get plenty of traffic. PageRank isn't all that important when it comes to traffic.

The only times I really see PageRank matter is if you're trying to sell a website or if you're trying to sell link ad space on a site like TextLinkAds.com (where they take PR into account when determining how much to charge advertisers).

Page rank actually has a lot to do with keywords and the amount of traffic those keywords draw. The more relative the keywords to your sites content the better rank you will get. Most people say to ignore page rank but almost no one does. It does have relevance to how well you are doing but it doesn't pay the bills.

You can have a good page rank and a lot of visitors and make nearly no money. That's because your keywords could be too general and attracting "tire kickers", lookers only. A lot of lookers can give you a better page rank, visitors for keywords, but no one is buying.

Of course backlinks build your sites rank in the search engines but that really doesn't matter if you're doing it wrong. You can waste a lot of time building pointless backlinks if you are not careful. Instead of just building backlinks you need to build targeted backlinks aimed at specific keywords.

It takes time and effort to find keywords that will bring people who want to buy what you have to offer. The more competitive the keyword the longer it will take, could be years. Searching for "long tail" keywords that have the lowest possible competition and a good average of searches is the key. Find phrases that are grouped into 3-5 words each. Then target those specifically to what you are offering. This will bring buyers and you can make money.

Then you have to take it a step further. You need to have your site SEO done and have it optimized for those same keywords.

Two things you need to learn how to do if you really want to make money. Both require work and study. Since this is business knowing how to run it should be a priority.

Two things.
1. Find low competition med search level "long tail" keywords.
2. Learn how to do on-site SEO using those keywords.

Then build the proper backlinks that you can make money from. Dont just build backlinks, build then correctly.

To show you how un-important page rank is - pick any popular site and put it through the page rank - you will be surprised - most of your popular sites do not rank good, but still draw traffic.

My Pagerank is also still 0 but I'm not put down by it. Now I'm working on building more backlinks and writing articles. I do agree with MBeshr on this:

My main page rank has stayed the same for quite some time, but my blog page goes up and down with each Big G shuffle. It's annoying when you think about it ... so I try not to think about it!

It took me a long time to learn the difference between Page Rank and position in search results. I agree that you need to concentrate on your position in the search results. That will get you traffic. As an internet user (when I'm not marketing), I never care what the PR is if I find the product or information that I'm looking for.

My site is also 0 in PR. But I think it's OK with 0. If it's unranked, you may start to worry.
