If anyone could help?

Hi,

I have been neglecting my web site since 2007 or I should say I have treating my site as a hobby instead of a business. Back in 2007 I had a profitable site, then yahoo changed there pay per click and I just couldn't get any good traffic to my site. I seemed to throw a tone of money out the window trying to get yahoo to work for me. I made the big mistake of putting all my eggs in one basket so when yahoo made there changes my income fizzled.

I'm looking for some advice on how I can get back on track and were I can focus to get good traffic back to my site. I started out with the PIP site however am not promoting it at this time. Should I add this back on my site and join all the businesses which are promoted on PIP's again?

Please any advice would be greatly appreciated. My site can be found in my contact information section; not sure if I can post it here and I don't want to break any rules on the forum.

Thanks in advance
Lisa

Hi, Lisa:

First off, the links in your signature are not working. Please check them and correct them.

Second, with each passing day, Internet Marketing becomes more and more competitive as more and more people jump on the bandwagon. Attracting traffic to a website is not always as easy as it may have been at one time. Now, it seems to take more work and you have to keep working at it on a regular basis.

Popular methods of getting traffic include:

- Proper optimization (SEO) of your website
- Article Marketing
- Social Marketing via Social Networking sites and online business and marketing forums
- Blogging
- Pay Per Click and similar methods
- Advertising, paid and free
- Traffic Exchanges
- Other methods ... ?

Hi,
Yes you should rejoin PIPs just don't spend a lot of money on it just yet.

Then, GT ha said it right, do those things. In doing them I would put an emphasis on Social networking using all the social sites you can handle. Just don't approach them as some sort of personal advertising medium because they are not and you'll get the boot or blacklisted. Learn how to correctly use each type of social network and the money will be there.
