LCM Support - Does it Exist?
Share on:

Ive been trying to join Lawn Chair Millionaire since last Thursday and initially screwed up with my credit card. Have since sent about 6 emails to their support address seeking to fix the problem but never hear back from anyone. Is it me or has this happened to others as well?

I hear this a lot - I am really not sure what to think.

However, I know that I always respond to every helpdesk ticket, email, or order within 24 hours (except Sunday, 48) - and I am still frequently accused of not doing so when an email service blocks mail with their spam filters.

Oz has some of the strictest bullet-proof email services in the world. It is really tough to get mail through to any service there.

Yahoo is one of the worst to deal with and so is MSN/hotmail/live - not even to mention ISPs are quite strict as well.

So you can understand why you may never have had a problem in the past, most businesses send legitimate bulk mail (not spam); however, this is often confused by the spam filters - that's why businesses have a tougher time than individuals.

What I always suggest is to get a free Google Mail account at Gmail.com and try writing from there. Be sure to reference the original email address you used on the application, and at least ask them to send a copy to Gmail.

IN FACT YOU COULD JUST START OVER USING A NEW GMAIL ADDRESS AND APPLY AGAIN. THAT WOULD CUT RIGHT TO THE CHASE.

Gmail is not perfect either, but at least they can tell the difference between spam and mail, (put spam in an easy to access folder) and don't block anything. Some real mail from business will end up in the spam folder occasionally so do check it if you are not getting a response.

Having said all that, once a credit card fails the fraud screen or in any case fails to process for any reason, companies seem unwilling to argue/negotiate or reconsider. I know it seems unfair if you have made an honest mistake - but just try to imagine getting hundreds of applications on a daily basis...

Companies would go bankrupt from bank fees alone when transactions are reversed, etc., not to mention actual fraud. The security is there not only to protect them but to protect the consumer just in case their card or identity has been stolen.

Last point - LCM is an optional program - there is no requirement to join LCM in order to join PlugInProfitSite (PIPS). So you might just want to forget it, at least for now. You can always update your PIPS profile at any time you want to add a program.

Thanks Patricia. I could use another credit card but the other problem they have is that the drop down box for the expiry date of the card (the months one) gives you options 7 to 12 and mine needs a 3 so I cant go that route either. Dont think its spam as ive given them two good email addresses I use and neither has received a reply.
