Twitter Users - Benefits of Twellow.com

This is for all you Twitter users out there, and I know there's many. There's a Twitter Yellow Directory site called Twellow.com. After seeing someone post about it on Facebook, I decided to check it out.

Basically you create an expanded Twitter profile, with a larger bio area where you can talk more about yourself and what you do. You can also include yourself in 12 different categories related to what you do or offer.

Here's what grabbed my attention the most. The site is a PR 6.

With that in mind, you're also allowed to use HTML within your extended bio to create an anchor text link. So, what I did was describe a little about myself and what my site offers. I then inserted a link to my blog using my main keyword phrase. The links are "do-follow!"

Less than a day later Google has spidered my profile. You can view mine to get an idea of what the site is about: Alan Mater :: Editors, Home Business, Internet Entrepreneur, Internet Marketing :: Twellow

So, if you use Twitter, which you should be, I suggest you create your Twellow profile and get a PR 6 backlink to your site or blog. This will also make it easier for other people to find and connect with you.

Hmph! I don't know whether I should THANK you, Alan, or not!

As if I needed something else to spend time on tonight instead of what I SHOULD be working on! ... lol

But, alas, I must thank you, indeed. I've seen Twellow around for so long, but never checked it out. I finally broke down, at your recommendation, and signed up. Now we will see if the time spent getting my profile set up does me any good.

LOL... glad to add another distraction.

I probably won't spend any time on it, other than the time spent to set up my profile. For me, I don't actively search out people to follow on Twitter. I usually wait till people follow me, and then I follow them back. Hopefully this will be helpful in allowing more users to find me and become interested in what I do. That's the plan anyway!

And hey, the backlink is just a plus.
