Google Page 1 At Last

Hi Members,

Just wanted to share some good news, my main site 'networldgateway' is on Google page 1 for 'best home business' and I am delighted.

All I have ever done is follow the advice from people who have gone before me and that is to write articles, visit forums, use traffic exchanges, submit your site to web directories, post to you blog on a regular basis and keep doing it over and over again,

I also put this down to the tremendous support and advice I have had from the PPG and members and in particular the effects of the summer competition which must have kicked in.

Above all, these measures are all free and I am no guru, also my website is still being built LOL, so now I am worried that I am generating traffic to a half finished site so back to work !!

Hei Malcolm, I've just tried searching on Google for 'networldgateway' and your link came up first on the first page on google.com.au. Might differ in some other parts of the world.

Awesome achievement! I really appreciate news and updates like this because it shows people that it CAN be done ... if you follow the recommended steps.

And, as you have pointed out, it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg ... or any other necessary appendage.

Thank you for your good wishes (and usha and KT52), I appreciate it. I'm afraid there is no magic formula and I am not a guru so the fact that I made it to page 1 means that anyone can do it as it is just down to consistent promotion of your keyword phrases over and over again.

Let me explain, SEO is the key to improving your page rank as I'm sure you know. I chose "best home business ideas" as my keyword phrase because it contains three other combinations within it.

My website below has this phrase in the header text and in the front page text and several places in the side widgets as well. Every time I post an article to my website or blog I always include clickable keyword phrases (two or three times) linking back to my site or blog so that search engine spiders will pick it up as they love new content.

If you are posting to article submission services then you have to be careful about linking back to your site direct from the text as that will usually infringe directory rules. What you do then is to ensure that you have a clickable like at the bottom of your article in the author bio which gives a backlink that can potentially circulate around the internet for years.

I have been involved in a great summer competition in the Pips Power Group (PPG) who are brilliant and have inspired me to make a final push throughout this summer so I have been extra active in all areas which has now created this bit of success. I hope that other keyword phrases that I am working on will come to fruition as well but it just takes time and consistent effort.
