Newbie needs Day 12 help

Hi everyone, my name is ebizdame and I am a real newbie; about 3 weeks old. I am only somewhat computer literate but that obviously did not stop me from getting into the program which I actually find really exciting. I have been following the 30 day training and I got seriously stuck on Day 12. I signed up for Angela's & Paul's backlinks but that did not help.

The paragraph that keeps stumping me is this: The secret to getting your pages listed on the first page of the search engines is SIMPLY to create unique content and link back to that content using the appropriate anchor text FROM established authority sites.

How do I create the link? (I imagine that is the text link or the anchor text that I am supposed to attach to the authority site). The underlined part sounds like I am supposed to use something from the authority site.

Please help me I really want to move on. Thank you

I have found that Angela's & Paul's backlinks packages are useful and helpful since they include with step by step screen shoot instruction from pdf file and all of the site they provide are the authority sites which are PR 4 and above.

Just follow screen shoot instruction from their pdf file.

The anchor text should be the keyword that you optimize your web site or page for search engines which is the primary keyword.

Creating the linke from those site is easy. You don't need to use something from those authority sites as you follow screen shoot instruction from pdf file.

Just put the following code to get backlink to your site:

For example: <a href="http://www.YOUR DOMAIN.com/">Work From Home Ideas</a>

"Work From Home Ideas" is your anchor text.

JS answered your question well. I just wanted to add that creating unique content includes writing articles and submitting them to article directories, and also using the content on your own blog. Doing both of these will help immensely.

Some tactics involve linking to specific articles or blog posts to get that content more exposure. And as JS said, you should use the anchor text (your main keywords that content is aimed at) when creating the backlinks.
