Can anyone tell me how to track my ads?
I searched on google but didn't look like anything I wanted. Getting people to sign in to my capture pages but don't know what ad they are coming from. Any help on how I can track my ads will be much appreciated. Thanks, |

Hi Reneeb,
If you want to track who's signing up from your capture pages, there is a reference number within the form code that you can change. What I do is just change the number for each page I use to get subscribers. When a new subscriber is added, it will show the reference number for that subscriber. Hope that helps, Alan |

Hi Alan
Thanks for your reply. However not for sure what you mean?? I want to send an ad out to several different ezines, solo ads, etc and when somone visits and opt in I want to know what ad they replied from. So do you mean when I put submit on my capture page like: example: http://www.tinyurl234.com then I would put http://tinyurl1234.com/ref1 then the next place I put the same ad use/ref2 ?? Reneeb |

Here's the GetResponse form code: Quote:

What you could do is create a separate sqeeze page for each advertisement, and then use the "ref" value to determine where that person came from. You would have to keep track of what "ref" values are associated with what ads. It's a little more work but can be done. For your situation it might be easier to find a URL shortening service that provides tracking stats. I'm not sure if there's any that do this for free, though. Sorry for the confusion. | |||
