I was wondering if people have had success with email marketing campaigns in general (selling products or recruiting) and how you've effectively gone about it. Any suggestions?

It is still a primary strategy used by all the more successful internet marketers. However in my opinion, with the unreliability of email delivery (only 60%) due to spam and subsequent blocking by spam filters, as well as the cost of leads to build a mailing list, it not the best way to get a quick ROI when you are starting out. Having said that I feel multiple strategies should be used and if you can find ways to build a list without paying alot for leads, then you should still use email marketing as ONE of the things you do to promote your business. PIPS having the opt-in form on the site is one great way to get free leads for your list. I especially like it because it allows you to stay focused on the primary thing, which is getting targeted traffic. It is hoped you will get a sale from the traffic, but second best would be to acquire another prospect for your list. |

Hi tfranklin, I like email marketing, whether I'm promoting something or not. I just like keeping in contact with my subscribers. Letting them know about a new blog post, giving insight for the day or anything else that may help them. Of course they still get the regular messages Stone setup for us. I have gotten some PIPS signups through new subscribers I have added. It is very beneficial to get new subscribers in any sense. There is one very fast way to get new subscribers, and it is completely free. If you don't mind a little bit of work... around 30-45 minutes worth. I offer a free ebook on creating your own ebook and gaining new subscribers through JV Giveaways. You can download it at my blog here: Alan's Home Money Making Blog: How I Added Over 165 Subscribers in Less Than One Week Hope this helps with your email marketing venture, Alan |

Email marketing should be used as a way of communicating and building relationships with your prospects. Generating your leads from web 2.0 is still a very low cost and effective way of creating great leads that you can follow up with email marketing.

Hi toddo, Well said. BTW... the link in your signature appears to not be working. Should it be captureyourownleads.com instead? I think you're missing the "p." Just thought I'd make you aware of this. Alan |
