ArticleDashboard Reset Password
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I accidentally changed my admin password for my Article Directory and could not remember the password I chose. I tried resetting the password from MySql database but it still would not reset. I tried changing the idmenid, and password, many times with different queries, with no luck.

Does anyone know of a quick fix for this issue?

i haven't used articledashboard in awhile so what i call things may be different.

first you want to make a back up copy of your article directory including the sql. then go in and delete the table {i think is admin} that has your password and username. get the original install file, copy the admin table to a file in your directory and call it Install, run it, it should make the admin table again and replace your password and username with "admin", remember to delete the install file afterwards.

good luck

Thank you much, Larry.

I will try this approach. I just hope I don't end up making a bigger mess.
