Hi, i have been trying for days to add the google/webmaster tool code to my site all to no avail. I am trying to use the meta tag method, don't know anything about the uploading method. I already have the code inserted in my site, yet when i try to verify it will tell me it can't be verified. You can check my HTML for how i did it. |

Hmm... the code is definitely there. Not sure why it wouldn't be working. Clear your internet cache and cookies and then try confirming again. I'm not sure if that will make any difference, but I don't know what else to try.

Hm, this also happens to me quite a few times when I tried to link my webpage. Every time, google will give you new code when you clicked the not verified tab, then it gives you the code and asked you to insert it in your index.html's meta tag (the part after css part..) I noticed a different in terms of their code (maybe for security reasons), is changing as I clicked 2-3 times before I successfully verified it. It will continuously give you new codes unless you verified it. So, if you want to verify it, you have to get the latest code and insert it to your index.html, I hope that helps as it works for me. |

Congrats! Finally you are able to verify it. This is what happen to me too. I added the code in the html, but when I go to my website, click view page source on the page where I inserted my code, the code doesn't appear at all. |
