These may sound like silly questions, but as a relative newby, I am digging my way around the internet picking up bits and pieces of information here, and there, and being on a relatively tight budget, I'm trying to achieve certain things (obviously make a profit) with my online presence, (at the moment not looking too hot) but one thing I seem to be getting stuck with is whilst using wordpress for a particular site, I've managed to download a plug-in that lets you create a squeeze page, and that works fine, but what I cant seem to work out is when a subscriber joins your mailing list, how do they automatically get the link to download the free report you promised them? ANy help or advice would be welcomed. I'm using getresponse as the autoresponder, but only the freebie version until my list grows above the minimum |

The way it works for our process is that the prospect starts at the opt-in web form on the main site and/or sales page, and this sends an email to the autoresponder. The autoresponder sends a confirmation message and if the message is responded to (link click) The prospect/lead becomes a subscriber at this point. Then in the first few emails (newsletters) in the free 400 Day Series, they would get the download links for free bonuses, e.g., our free brandable eBook, Dotcomology. Of course their are other 'traffic portals' that you can use to get subscribers/give away free stuff besides the primary one of promoting your site and main sales page. Squeeze pages, landing pages, splash pages, it's all real good. Of course the main sales page should always be referred/linked to but I think there is a lot to being a brief message - A Web PAGE instead of a Web Site - Closer to the order form of your dreams. You can put direct download links on any of these if you just want your prospects to download from your domain. You can do this for Free and for Paypal.* You just need to install the eBooks on the domain (upload/FTP) *You can get an encrypted PayPal Button for free from them and install it on your site if you want to sell eBooks or any other digital products or services. So lots of ways to go, right? |
