Traffic Exchange (Help)
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi, I am trying free ways to gain some traffic to my new site and I would like to try out some new things like Traffic Exchange. But, however, does traffic exchange works?

This is what I noticed:
I registered a FREE account, surf for free credit (tedious), use the credit to advertise my own website.

I think probably many people wouldn't interested in surfing at all, they are just interested in the free credits. So, if I advertise, also no one will appreciate it

Hence, do you think traffic exchange works? I sincerely need your advice

While what you say is true - most people click just for credit -

However, many sales do actually come from traffic exchanges.

In fact, I found PIPS from Traffic Swarm, so I am one example. Still here 5 years later!

So not a bad idea to use some traffic exchanges - always a chance is better than no chance if you don't try especially if it is free.

You do want to stick with manual traffic exchanges - with autosurf people really don't even watch at all and I think they are dangerous for a number of reasons.

I did find that even when broke and unemployed clicking for credit was a tedious, terrible way to spend my time, though.

What I did was just join as a free member so no monthly fee and then buy a small pack of credits when I had $10-15 -

I don't think Traffic Swarm has a small pack like that but many of the other exchanges do.

Really business opportunity seekers do use traffic exchanges and they may just click your ad.

It is not recommended to use your site as they don't stay long enough to find anything when 'clicking thru' - even the sales page is too big - best to use squeeze pages and/or splash pages for exchanges (and banners).

You will find both squeeze pages and banners in the 'Marketing' section of your PIPS backoffice.

Thanks Patricia, for your fast response and tips.

Most people won't really take an effort to read the advertisement, they will open the advertisement in many tabs such as 10 tabs and wait for the timer to be up and wait for the credits to be credited.

There are people who told me that if I surf manually and earn the free credit, it will be very tedious and it really takes long long time unless I buy credits and advertise aggressively in TE and hopefully I will meet some REAL customers like you who will sincerely click into my advertisement

I guess I had to find more ways to build traffic

Hi I Have used many of the Sites to generate traffic in the past and still do. The key is to be consistant like anything else you want to achieve. Usually it will take some effort. Although these systems are becoming more and more Advanced as Technology and Experience come together. There are also sites that don't require you to click on anything to earn credits. This is really cool.

Hope this helps,

Hi, I guess by doing other things such as article marketing will work faster and more reliable than traffic exchange.

Hi
Either article marketing or traffic exchange are work well if you do it correctly. Generally, most traffic generating systems will work well if one is focus on one thing and do it correctly.

My impression to you is... if you chose to do any of the methods, RESEARCH it first! like how to do it correctly, effectively and ect. Take sometimes to learn, read lots of eBook that available, test and test and test.

You don't straight away jump into it hoping that it will definitely work for you. You may end up with failure.

Whether to choose article marketing or traffic exchange?????

I will suggest that evluate your cole value or personality that best suit to do any of the methods. For example if you like to write and your english is fairly good then go for Article Marketing. Otherwise you have to outsourse for it.

If you don't like to write you can choose any alternate one that suit your personality. It can be traffic exchange, social marketing, classified and ect.

My point here is you won't success unless YOU PREPARE to success.

Hi,
Traffic exchange work alright, what you have to do is to get yourself an optin-page or a splash page to use with these sites and then be consistent at surfing for credits at least 30 minutes to an hour a day and make of it a habit, you will be surprised at the result.I had the same problem and that was the way of solving it.
Now i also write many articles during the week and post them, that is also going fine. All these system work very well, but the trick is to organise yourself by setting a plan of action and do it.Be confident and follow your plan you will see the result.Nevertheless as Judson said research first about the way you want to do it, which suit you best and then go about it.
You can also PM me and i will send you a link which can be useful to you. Cheers...

Your back office is where your 30 days to success
guide is.

If you login into your PIPS members area and at the
top left you'll see a row of about 10 or 11 links. Click
on the one that says marketing. There you'll see all
your squeeze pages.

If you scroll all the way down to the bottom you'll see
a link to the banners... I think!

Yep it says:

Click here to get Plug-in Profit Site banners & images

Oh, and it's 11 links on the top left!

Hope this helps,

Hi,

I had yet to go into TE as it will involved quite some time and I am running out of time everyday as I had to go for classes in school, house chores and personal things to do other than Internet Marketing, not enough hours to sleep too

Thanks for all the feedback. This seems to be new approach to gain some traffic to me as I first tried this and my experience was like clicking and waiting so I don't know whether I am doing the correct thing, hence I would like to gain some feedback too.

Hi Judsonsolomon,

Yes, I agree that TE does work as I noticed there is some people will really read and go to your website.

But, it is tedious so I don't know that is the right choice to really go into.

Yes, I do think TE works in some way such as Bill's Your-Profit-Funnel works although it is tedious but so far my reviews is located at my blog.

Hi everyone

I've been down the TE side-road (it is tedious, but I've got more time to invest than money - so don't just dismiss them)..
I will say a good place to start is TrafficHoopla[dot]com.
My reason for that is they put the top TE sites there for you to sign up with and so it is good location to find the current most 'active' sites. Saves trying to find the 'best' ones - you don't actually 'surf' at Hoopla, it is more of a info-gathering/downline building tool.
A couple I recommend because they are so automatic is: Traffic Swarm & FreeTrafficBar
Personally, I will purchase traffic from HighHits because she puts really good daily deals on them that I can afford.

If anyone would want me to send them a link, just PM me
(and i'll love you forever if you want to sign up under me per chance)

Hope this helps some of you out on the TE stuff

Hi Breadtoaster,

I can see now that your main problem is time, so first organise well your time and then distribute it according to your prioroties. Once that done, consider your means and then take the decisions which will help YOU progress best. But remember TE have been around for sometimes now, there is a reason. As far as i know they stink, yes, but they work very well if you know how to go about them. As "Andie" said Traffichoopla is really a place to start building a list too.
Cheers...

I use TE's and I use a rotator in the TE's, what I have noticed is that I have put 3 PIP squeeze pages in my rotator and that is all I advertise, I have (2) of the squeeze pages from the PIP marketing page and (1) that I created, and I use the PIP Co-Op for extra marketing, and I have gotten signups and a few sales, but I am in this for the long term not short term, I have set personal goals to learn all I can for the first year, and then in the second year use all I have learned to start seeing a profit and the third year I hope to have my PIP site paying for itself and putting money in my bank account, those are just my goals!

Downlyne, I like your goals. Though I think you should remove the word HOPE and replace it with WILL. Might help to gain a bit more focus. I have eliminated HOPE from my personal dictionary and seems to be working for me. Not in PIPs yet but in other ventures.

As with anything it really depends on what your marketing and where, remember traffic exchanges are for marketers and website owners to get traffic to their products, so don't put weight loss pages up.

As for sales, I have bought several products from a traffic exchange.

STAY AWAY from auto-surf programs, all you will do is set it to run before you go to work and walk away to get the credits, guess what everyone else is doing as well. NOW, to backpeddle a bit auto surf is good if your just trying to get your Alexa ranking up. BUT, don't have adsense on your site if you intend on doing it that way, they will close your account.

Hi,

I agree with Patricia that TE's do work but not often, it's just that the vast majority of people do just click thru for credts but it is trial and error if you use tracking codes you can quickly drop the ones that don't work.

I also signed up for PIPS via Traffic Swarm so I am proof that people do read the occasional offer and if it grabs your attention on the first visit then bingo.

regards,

Mal.

I belong to many TE's and have good success with them. I don't normally manually surf, but I usually upgrade in them so I get monthly views automatically every month.

You can NOT use TE's to advertise a website or an affiliate programs. All you should have is a tiny little Spash Page. Something that will fit in computer screen without scrolling down. You have about 10 Seconds to create something so exciting that they are tempted to click the button to take them to another page.

That is your only goal in TE's... get them to another page. They are not going to spend any time looking at your site while surfing. If it's something they saw before or something that takes forever to load up... the timer winds down and you're site gets passed right by. If you can create a 15 second message or voice over that loads fast and plays as soon as they land on your Splash Page... even better.

Some people actually reduce the widows so they can surf many TE's at same time to earn credits. So they aren't even looking at anything. So a quick 15 second audio will definately grab the attention of those people because at least they will hear a 15 second commercial even without seeing.

Something to ponder. Most people who use traffic exchanges are new marketers, not all, but most. New marketers are trying to build a business and many of the business are just plain bad. So, building them is nearly a waste of their time.

What you end up with on traffic exchanges are new marketers who are having a tough time building their business so they are looking for new opportunities. This is how I found PIPs. While these new marketers are surfing for credits they are also searching for an opportunity they think will work. If your opportunity stands out it will get read. if enough people read it some will sign up. In time enough people will sign up that you are making a fair amount of money.

Just be consistent.

Oh, and put a picture of yourself on your squeeze pages and learn how to make and use videos. Even bad videos sell. Plus they give you a lot of recognition or what's called branding yourself.

This is why TE's can work for you. Isn't marketing all about numbers? How many people can you get to your site? How many people can you convert to customers/business partners?

If you have an opportunity with an enticing splash page, you can convert the "curious" into cash! However, how much are you willing to surf to gain credits. I like to upgrade, so I don't have to do a lot of surfing.

Hi there. As far as Traffic Exchanges go, the quick answer is they they do work...To a certain degree That is.

What I mean is TE's work if you spend the time to work them; spend some money to upgrade them; have the time time available to mess with them and have exhausted your other relatively inexpensive ways to draw traffic to your website.

The truth is, most people are lacking in those needs. My advice to you would be to spend that precious quality time of yours on better and less time consuming marketing activities.

I am not saying TE's don't work, personally I just don't think it's the best use of your time (please, no disrespect intendedd on those who use them). Some people do very well, but it's easy to get bogged down in tg\ime, overwhelmed with information and not getting the results you want for the time and money spent.

That said, I would recomemd other traffic generation sources, like Angela Edwards Backlink Builder or Paul's Quality Links. I use them myself and swear by them. Use article marketing (if you can't write well, you can buy PLR articles cheaply and re-write them a bit to have quick articles.
Research some information on list building techniques and services.

I use all these techniques myself for all my websites and again, I swear by them!

So in summary, I personally don't sepend time with TE's as I feel there are better ways to market. But, if you can find someone on this forum who is having success with TE's and you are set on using them, then by all means, learn from them and make it a part of your marketing arsenal....Just not the only method!

Good Luck!

This is my personal opinion so nobody take it to heart

Afternoon

Traffic Exchanges? Bad news in my book. When I first started out I thought this was the way forward and spent way to much money trying to promote my products and defo way to much time surfing these sites building up even more credit so I could plug my products even more.

The one major problem with these sites is that everybody there is doing the same thing as you. Basically surfing all day long just to gain more credit so the same bunch of people can see the same ads going round and round and nobody ever buy's anything and the only people earning are the site owners. The reason they are the only winners is because you get so hacked off surfing 18hrs a day trying to build little or no credit you end up just buying it instead and watch £20, £30, £40 disappear in smoke without a single hit, signup or even sale. I spent months doing this before the penny dropped. So in reality nobody in the real world of traffic ever sees what your selling, promoting etc.

My advice, stay well clear it will drive you insane in the brain.

Hope that helps

Hello,

I understand your frustration but you shouldn't dismiss all TE's as they are not all the same. You have seen in this post how many people have signed up to PIPS just from traffic swarm and this forum is just a fraction of the business out there.

Use source codes on all your TE's and you will see which ones are working so you can ditch the rest and save your vaulable time,

regards,

Mal.

Hhhmm yes it has actually worked for my friends - but not in the way you say . They enter into a contract with other webmasters and exchange Iframes of thier websites on each others . So any traffic coming to one site is shared by each other - and also acts as an advertisement for each other .

Yes, traffic exchanges do work, but you need have to be mindful that your website only shows from 6 to 10 seconds. Most traffic exchange users also use browsers with multiple tabs so often times your webpage is in front of them less than 2 seconds as they are surfing to build credits.

By using a splash page or capture page to offer them something for free and capture their contact information then follow up with the prospect by automatically sending them a message after they opt in to your system.

I've seen times when a sales page doesn't have time to load when the time has ran out. Let alone does it capture someone's attention.

I have also had some success with traffic exchangse, I think they should be used as part of your marketing campaign - but of course that shouldn't be your only way to bring in traffic.

I know I've checked out other sites when surfing getting credits, so there are times when I will leave the exchanges if something catches my eye - so I would others probably do the same, even a few sales off of them can be a nice bonus.
