What's Your Website Worth?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Every once in a while I like to look and see if my site is worth anything. Today it seems to have grown a little.

You can check your site here WebsiteOutlook. Just so you know, I check this more for fun than anything else but I am open for nice BIG offers.

It's kind of fun to check it every once in a while to see if it has grown at all. That reminds me, we do have a blogging contest up there. It might be fun to check your site now and again after the contest to see how much it's grown.

Cool Tool, Stephen!

I was thinking that it would be great if you added a free domain name appraisal system to that, too... just for kicks.

I found this one which is free, though it takes a few minutes to go through the process (no request for email, though): SwiftAppraisal.com

It would help when CHOOSING a domain name, too... and, I'm sure, if you were interested in buying a specific domain name, it could help you there, as well-- but most registrars can do that.

Cheers!

Fun to look at though...

Actually Jeff, it can show you that you are progressing. But as stated above, it is fun to look at and watch.

I don't know if anyone noticed but it also shows your total backlinks and Alexa rank. Kind of interesting. But, it also appears to not be working right now.

Ah, okay. So I'm not the only one. Glad to know that - the last time I
did something similar my site was worth somewhere in the high $2,000
range.

But again, that's just for fun.

My site is "worth" over $2000!!! Yet it is not earning me any income and they have overestimated the traffic I get. I won't be taking it too seriously.

Dave,

Well, it's like going to a real estate broker for a price on your house-- they will always estimate high, in the hopes of getting that price. To get a real idea of a house's worth, by the way, always check your tax assessed value. Huge difference.

The appraisal form is a neat tool also.

I did get a little hung up on the questions. It ask: The domain name consists of: 1 word/part, 2 words/parts, 3 words/parts etc.. I don't really know what they are asking or how many words/parts my name consist of. Any ideas?

Honestly, I don't care how much my website is worth but if I were to sell it, which would never happen, I would sell it for 1 Million Dollars. .......Just kidding..

I would sell it for $20,000.

With all the free traffic I am getting and sales from the search engines, again I will never sell it.

Steve,

That's a neat tool, being quite new I won't mention what my site is worth. I'll just say it's more than the site costs to keep running. That really isn't saying a whol lot. lol It is nice to see that it actually does change value with anything you do, any modification or increase in traffic.

thanks for the info

there are alot of web sites and diffrent values about web site
worth on the internet, you can search "How much is my web site
worth?" from google, but my favorites is
How much is my web site worth? - pagerank, backlink, traffic detail, directory listing

Hey Stephen and friends!

I think that these tools are misleading! fun but misleading.

Basically a site is 'worth' what someone is willing to pay for it if it was up for sale!

IMHO anyway!

also - if you use a couple of different tools for this purpose thay will all come back with very different appraisals - due to the different parameters that each site takes into account!

so Im with you - just use this sort of thing to gauge if you are growing!

thanks for the tool

Hi friends,
That site gives an estimate, in one way it is like checking your body temp.
It's useful to see if you are adding contents and where the traffic is coming from.
I checked mine yesterday, it was worth US $2387.1, 3 months ago it was US$121.9 and most traffic comes from India(64.5%) USA(22.2%) Canada(5.4%) other countries(8.2%).
So I would say it is useful somehow..

Hello:

I like to check a few different sources for this kind of info from time-to-time. This one is interesting to add to the mix. But, like Kymmy said, every site uses different parameters, so the info is simply a generalization.

Jeff, I think that your site is worth a lot more then $100,000.

Just checked out on Google which websites are on page ONE for "work at home" and yours is #1.

Good job my friend. Keep up the great work.

Jeff, very cool tool I started a study into The different Marketing approaches. and there only one that will increase your site value. base on what my site was worth in Dec. which was least then 100.00 despite the amount of traffic my site acquire compare to the value it has now. Which is stevesmoneybank.com Estimated Worth $2438.2 USD

Which would over time increase if I was able to continue, submitting articles to build my back links. How ever this must be one of my last messages at the warrior forum. I would take building your back links serious folks. And it not that hard. Just let everyone know the amount of back links that were point to this site be your guide.

Well i always think that the business model behind the website is going to be calculated.

I guess not. If you need an evaluation and have a technology behind the website. I don't think automated websites will give you any clue to your real value.

It may even give you a very low value if you don't place ads.
I know of a site which had 100 k visitors but they did not place any ads.
So it showed a really low value.

Not to mention they went on to place ads privately and earned more in one shot than what the estimates said of the whole site.

Hi,

Another great site I'd like to recommend for checking website value is Website Value Calculator - How much your website is worth? it's not quite as well know as website outlook but provides a similar range of information.

I would not rate too much for these online calculators. They usually provide figures you can be happy with, but when you really go out to sell, reality hurts!

According to me the best domains are either generic dictionary names, combinations of words and top level .com domain without any special characters and numerics.
For example domain4good . com will fetch less value than domainforgood . com
Ideally a domain name between 1 character(not available ) to say around 10-15 characters is ideal.

I would also avoid brand names in my domains because now a days companies can take you to court over their brand names / trade marks and get the domain from you without paying a dime.

What do you mean there is "no data for your site" - have you completed the training? Done any marketing? Gotten any subscribers or made any sales? If not that is why there is no data yet...

You can see traffic in your hosting account cPanel.
You can see subscribers in 'Contacts' in your autoresponder account
You can see downline/commissions (sales) in each affiliate program

Just focus on blogging, writing articles, posting in forums and social networks, and following the directions in the training to get traffic and this will eventually create some stats for you.

Although my website seems to be worth $6000, its the income from it thats worth a lot more, the value of a website is only worth on how much income and or leads come through the website

Only a human will know what a site is worth, all that these tools do is grab a few metrics (Alexa, Backlinks etc) and pop out a number...

The value of a website depends entirely on the money it is making and none of these tools has access to this data..

Domain evaluation thru these type of tools is a lot more relieable then website evaluation btw...

I agree with you Toni and even the information to me does not give a true picture. For instance the daily pageviews indicated on my websites are far different from the ones in the cpanel. Well, it's a good game worth trying

Have you ever thought of another kind of value those services provide..?
If my reasoning is correct, what you actually get by checkin your website is a free backlink from them

It can serve as a motivator. I have checked again and I see some change in figures, which tell something good.

Site Worth Get - A Free Website Worth Calculator

Free Website Worth Calculator
You must have expended an ample amount of time, money and a lot of hard work in building your website. From back linking, SEO, paid traffic and perhaps all nature of marketing practices to make your site worth it, and now when it’s worth it, then let Site Worth Get tell you its actual worth.

It possibly can be the biggest chance of your lifetime to get hold of a bingo by discovering your website value. Around a year back Skype was sold to Microsoft for $8.5 billion; and if you get lucky you might get to sell your website to some top-notch company, but for this you really need to know about the real price of your site.

Okay, so now you logged on to siteworthget.com and checked that your site is worth billions (for example), plus it’s also generating a consistent monthly income. Then why would you need to sell it? Well, you would want to sell it if you need a real time cash injection to start up a new project, pay for medical bills, gather more cash for investment purpose, or if you’re simply sick of your current project and wish to start another one at a completely different level.

The reasons could be many, and the finest part is that Site Worth Get also generates the Alexa rank, page rank and unique visitor stats, which could bring in quite a population of advertisers and affiliate companies to fix a monthly advertising deal with you. Besides, finding out a website value will be fruitful for future partnership ventures. You may direct your advertisers or your dealers to Site Worth Get, by embedding an HTML code provided by us and let them see your progress chart for FREE. Simply insert your URL and see what we will reveal for you:

How can they calculate someone's income? $23,000 per day on 'ads' for the WF according to that? I dont have any ads on my site, yet it says I earn 1.28USD per day. Sounds like a load of codswallop to me.

This is just an estimate, I think is based in G adwords CPC, but that's the worst way to monetize a website, your site can be worth 100 times that value!
