Search Engine Submission

There are services that offer auto search engine submission to thousands of smaller search engines. Does this help your Google ranking or does it get your site disadvantaged with Google?

don't bother to try it... things work different now...
think about it if seo is that easy, the professional won't charge 3-4 figures to optimize your site!
but what have in your mind.??

Submitting your site to search engines can be good if you are just starting, but you can do it alone without spending money on it.

The best way is to learn SEO and optimize your website, build your backlinks and let the search engines find you and not the other way around.

The best thing you can do to help your search engine traffic is

- get high quality backlinks on a regular basis
- add content to your site (the more unique the better) via a blog or by adding addition pages

Submitting your site to search engines won't do you any harm, but it is a waste of your time (especially if you do it repeatedly). The main search engines are all crawlers, which mean they follow links on website to find other websites.

Cheers,
Suzanne

Instead of submitting to search engines try joining social bookmarking sites like DIGG, Stumbleupon, PligIM amd others. The search engines may not find a new site right away or they may not come to your site to update it very often. But, they almost never leave the social sites because of the high number of visitors and the constantly added new content. The SE's will find you site within hours of making new post on a Sociasl site. They see your link and follow it to your site.
