I think you are right about that. Content and proper SEO of blog post will get visitors and followers. But, this is about commenting and backlinks.

Roy, I did a little searching and I have no idea how to remove NoFollow from older Blogger templates. I was able to follow my instructions and remove it from my blogger blog.

If there is no reference to "nofollow" in the HTML code (aka blog template), then it is not a nofollow blog. As long as the backlink code in the template doesn't use the rel="nofollow" tag for comments posted, then the comment links are getting credit.

Hi Alan, I use two Firefox add ons, NoDoFollow and SEO For Firefox. When a link is red it is a nofollow link. But, blogs are different than web pages in that each section has it's own html. A blog page is made up of several sections and sets of html. It is almost impossible to find something like NoFollow without having access to the blog back office. Just using "page source" will not do it, I tried. On Roys site i did find two NoFollow tags on his page source from his front page. Both were from links. The only one I remember is an Empowerism link. Where the NoFollow tag originates i haven't a clue. Wish I could help.

You can open a page source and then hit Control F and it will open up a search box. That's how I found the nofollow links.

Ahh yes, Steven, that is a good way of checking. I'm not sure why he can't find it then. It's there somewhere, apparently. I'm not sure what to say to that. I think I have the new Blogger. I'm not sure how the old one is set up. Not much can be done if it can't be found.

This is rather old but it is remarkably easy to import a blogger blog to a wordpress one. If you decide you want to do so let me know and I can help.
