I have created a do-follow blogs listing and I invite you to submit your blog to me. Just a few requirements. Your blog must be at least PR1, a do-follow blog, and have the top commentator plugin installed. If yes, just submit to me via a comment at the post below and I'll include your blog in my list.

Hi Peter, I commented on your post. This looks like a real good way to build a large number of backlinks. I also installed "Top Commentator" on my blog. Blog commenting truly is a great way to build relevant backlinks and backlinks are a key to building your business.

Thanks for your comment and I have included your blog in my do-follow blogs list. BTW, your comments are finding their way into my spam folder. Some bad neighbourhood sites may have linked to you without you knowing it. Suggest you contact Akismet and tell them to despam your url in their spam database. They are pretty prompt in fixing this.

Hi Peter,

I have a do follow blog but for some reason no page rank. In fact my page rank has gone down and is now a zero even though my back links and Alexa is doing nothing but going up.

I think Google secretly hates me for some reason. Oh well, life goes on.

Hi Peter, I find a lot of comments from people I know get put in the spam folder by Askimet. Who knows how that actually happens. As long as I and others approve them Askimet will remove them from the blocked list. Thanks for catching it and approving my comments.

Note to Peter:

I have a similar problem to what Matt has just said. It appears my blog has zero page rank, yet my blog gets and attracts more traffic than my main web page and my blog content is updated avery few days.

Also, I do not have any no-follow or do-follow code in my blog template ... which I believe means it is the same as a "do-follow" blog.

Stephen,

I've known bloggers who have too many comments to moderate that they ignore spam comments totally and also these comments get auto deleted after some time. So if your comments are in such high traffic blogs, you would have lost otherwise some backlinks for yourself. For me I'd prefer to get myself out of Akismet spam database. Who knows what disadvantage it might have. Anyway it's just a 5 min email to Akismet. But it's just my 2-cents.

It's good to hear that you're growing lots of backlinks. But if you don't have the Top Commentator plugin, it may be a good time to install it. It will help you greatly but of course you will need a good commenting strategy too.

Alan,
I just checked some of your blog's comments and found "rel="nofollow" all over the commentators' urls. This means that you still have not removed (or not successfully removed) the "no follow" tag. You should try to remove it soon otherwise you're missing all the good backlinks you should be getting. Well check the source page and zoom in on the comments and see for yourself to confirm if I'm right. It's worth checking it again.

Hi Ben,

I checked your blog but could not find any 'Top Commentators' list. Did you install the 'Top Commentator' plugin (it's in my post if you need it). I did see your 'Recent Comments' at the footer but this is different. Let me know if I missed it...I'm sometimes quite blind looking for such things.

OK, Apologies! I've found it and added your blog in my list. Told you I was blind!

Incidentally when I used Firefox nothing is shown under 'Features'. It's a blank page. Not sure if it's my computer but try checking it on your side. IE seems ok.
