Hi All,
I developed a site called BestAbsDiet.com and quickly landed on the first pages of google, yahoo and bing.

I would like to hear how to monetize the site. I recently lost my job and need to create an income. I would love to do it from the internet. I have many affiliate links on the site already. Any ideas on how to monetize my site other than the obvious - affiliate product, google adsense, etc?

Dean! First of all, congratulations. Awesome work getting to the front pages of the search engines.

There are several very good, very high conversion products on Clickbank.com. Go there and get yourself an account. Then go to the Marketplace and look under health and fitness. You'll see several 'Abs' products there.

Go to each site. The good ones will have an affiliate page which has banners that you can customise with your own Clickbank ID in order to make affiliate commissions. Ideally, I would suggest you build a site around the product(s) as well as the topic, with a few posts or articles about how to get those abs.

A friend of mine created a site like this for the gaming/betting niche. All the links point to ClickBank products: Football Betting Tips | Betting Systems Football | Football Tips Betting

You may want to consider AdSense too, but I personally would just use Clickbank.

While I think of it, being you're in the position you're currently in, I'd suggest you read a copy of The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss. He'll help you see how you can make your income from the internet.

I would suggest looking for a long-term goal. So create an opt-in box and collect emails of all your visitors promising them with some ebook in return. It is not sure that you will remain in the front page in the future. So create a list and reap the benefits for years to come.

You can install All in One Adsense and YPN. If you don't have one yet apply for a publisher ID from Google. Once you get it this WP Plug-in will place Google ads in any location you want on your wordpress site
