Hi William,

I am a fellow PIPs member too and had a quick look at your site. I see that you have the orinal PIP website. ALthough it isn't a bad site I would suggest that the first thing you do is customise it a bit to look more unique and give customers a feeling that they are dealing with you, to me the PIPs site looks quite "commercial"

The next thing I also noticed is that you do not have a blog. Have you followed stones 30 days success book? I'm pretty sure that it tells you to create a blog in it.

oops! scrap that i just had another look and it was under yoursite.com/articles. Wasn't very obvious though ;p.

i also did a quick seo check on your site, apparently you don't have many pages indexed by google, about 3 and only have no more that 150 backlinks. which means people won't find you in the search engines very easily.

I see that you have written some articles, how often are you doing this?

what other methods of promotions have you used? I am quite willing to help you. I am not an expert but i'm sure you can make use of another person's opinion

Hi William,

It is great that you took the first step out to start an online business.

My advice is be more than creative about attracting leads to your business. Nobody is going to pop by your website by chance and just sign up. If it was that easy, I would have retired last year.

Now that your website is up, it is all about promotion, marketing and driving leads to your website. Don't get too engross when you see people offering help to build your list because it won't help you in anyway except to rip you off your last few pennies.

Come up with your own specialty like building a squeeze page and give away a bonus to attract people to at least take a look at your PIPS page. Even if they leave after 5 seconds of reading, at least you have their emails in your list!

Another trick is to make it a time limited bonus so you make it known that if they don't take action right now, they are going to miss out a great opportunity later on.

So much I can say to you for now and all the best to you William!

Let me know if you need help on anything and I will be very happy to do lend my hand.

Cheers,
Ben

Hi William...

Welcome to PIPS. I'm glad to see you have taken a major step in making an income online.

I too am a relative newbie ( 4 months ), I have only seen minimal success to this point. There is definitely a large learning curve, you are learning something different than your normal job. Plus, you have to learn what works for you, as far as advertising, promoting, and getting your website just right.

You have to make your site different than all the other PIPS sites. You need to make it unique. I'm still in the process of changing mine. What you have is a basic site that all PIPS members get.

Keep doing what you are doing. Getting your site ranked in search engines is tough. And it takes time. You might want to change the name of your site. Check your Meta Tags, to make sure you are getting the most benefits. You might want to change your keywords, because again you are using the basic keywords that came with your PIPS site.

Just do not give up. It will come.

Steve the best way to build your list is by advertising your website and the landing pages we have in the Marketing section of your back office.

That is because #1 it is free and #2 the point is sales not lists - so if you promote your business - blogs, articles, backlinking, etc as Stone has instructed, you will get people who sign up for your newsletter.

I know people are always drooling about 'it's in the list' - yes that may be where your customers come from - but they also may come without being on your list - just from seeing your sales page or website.

Remember the list means nothing unless they buy something.

Sorry if I am blatant (harsh) but #1 so many people lose focus on what they know they need to do (from the training - blogs, articles, SEO, etc) and waste their time trying to find something 'quick and dirty' (easier) and it makes no sense.

#2 I want to make sure people realize what subscribers are - that is prospects - yes you need them - but what your focus needs to be is sales, because subscribers will get your newsletter for 400 days and it may take that long for them to respond by joining something - or they may never do anything but read the newsletter.

In the meantime you could be focused on making some direct money and the subscribers will come as a result! (this is in part why the newsletter is referred to as 'follow-up messages'...

#3 if you are really in a hurry to build your list, you can buy leads from Getresponse - these are double-opt in and already subscribed - but remember they are only prospects, so you may want to save your money (with that said if you really have money to spend, this might be a good idea if you are in a hurry).

I have just signed up for the Plug in profit site two weeks ago. I read the training everyday and have just purchased the total domination package platinum. I wonder if anyone has used their service before and had good results?.

I also think that my site is knowhere near good enough to make any sales
so i have purchased several of darrin's packages but still unsure if it will make any difference.

I have written a blog on my site and drive most of the traffic their. I would love to get a complete overhaul of my site appearance but i'm not sure how to do that.

would darrin do that for my site?

freeman25

You can see what Darrin does and how much it costs at Darrin's site at PIP Site Help: Home

Or Learn how to do it yourself:

PIP Site Help: Basic PIP Site Editing

Total Content Domination is an excellent service.

The most important thing you can do to get sales is internet marketing.

I always like to say 'it won't matter what the site looks like if nobody sees it' = you need to focus on getting traffic all the time - that is what leads to sales, not so much the design of the website.

And, it is much more relevant to have the SEO services/Blog-Articles before 'window dressing' or 'cosmetics'. Backlinks is what will get you traffic.

(and also probably true pretty colors and a good looking site will make them want to stay once they get there)

...i hope you can see what i am saying - as far as priorities and focus.

Hello. I am really new to this but do realize the importance of getting traffic to your site. I have seen so many programs geared toward generating traffic that it gets a little confusing. Any suggestions< I have looked at the John Reese Traffic Secrets 2.0 as well as others but I don't want something that is already outdated. Thanks.
