Don't Resort to Bottom Feeder Marketing Tactics

There is a certain element that uses negative advertising.

Negative is negative.

You want to exude positivity!

Nothing better than Win/Win. (as opposed to win/lose - you have to lose so that I can win) - why can't we both win?

You have seen them on TV - bash the competition - you have seen it in politics - bash your opponent.

I have also seen the backlash and noticed that (a) these people have no ideas of their own and the only thing they can say is the other guy is bad; (b) people do not like hearing their negativity and it actually works against them that they have stooped so low.

Then there are those organizations where they will claim to help you with something - maybe they will but how can they when they bash everything besides what is on their own agenda. What they are actually saying is believe me instead.

all you did for the program was raided the membership.

What is it about the program they love so much and want to help with? Other than the member's money and the ready market they are exploiting.

Their premise is that they know the right way and will help you if you buy THEIR products and join THEIR programs.

Isn't this sorta transparent?

I have always hated copy cats too - the competition that will run on the coat tails of another - for example with the obnoxious Mineral make up (obnoxious because the commercials are on every 5 minutes on some stations and are also too long - who can stand listening to the same thing over and over and over?).

Didn't take every other make up company long to come up with their own KNOCK OFF products - I guess this is normal. I guess they have no research and development department or ideas of their own and they just suck.

I have always respected innovation and people that come up with their own ideas. I understand the nature of competition and do realize it is necessary. However, I don't respect it unless it is ethical and moral. -- and original.

They say 'what goes around comes around' - think about how you would like it if somebody was running on your coat tails telling people not to buy your products, not to follow your directions? Do you think that would help you?

No, it could hurt you. Don't they realize that?

Compete with yourself. Do better than you did yesterday and don't worry about what anybody else is doing.

Don't use bottom feeder tactics like bashing your competition or copying other people's ideas - it will come back to haunt you in the end.

"Do Unto Others What You Would Have Them Do Unto You".
