In sending out ads, which URL is better to send out? The affiliate URL with your ID# OR your personal URL from the same company? Thanks :confused:

I would say your personal URL is best.

You should have a top level domain.

www.yoursite.com

Then you will need to cloak your affiliate link with a redirect:

Which will end up looking like this:

www.yoursite.com/suggests

Check out youtube if you need a tutorial.

Put yourself in the mind of your customers. Which URl would YOU follow?

http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/main-xxxxx

or

Home Business Ideas and Opportunities at AutoProfitBonanza.com

or, as Simon "Says"... sorry Simon, couldn't let that one go...
use a redirect for your affiliate id.

To do a redirect, just add a new folder called suggests or recommends to your domain.

inside this folder, put another folder called pips

Cut and paste the code below into a blank html file and save as index.html inside the PIPS folder.

upload to your site and you now have a redirect for your PIPS site promoting your affiliate ID. You can do this for any affiliate ID for any affiliate program or for any CLICKBANK product you are selling.

Here's the code:
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh"
CONTENT="1; URL=http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/main-xxxxx">
<title>Auto Pilot Bonanza | AutoPilotBonanza.com</title>
</head>

With the redirect you would promote this link. Now, as you can see, the link below would be promoting the PIPS Salespage. http://www.autopilotbonanza/recommends/pips

If you use your own domain name, they will see your website, but, they may NOT click on a link to take them to the salespage.

If you goal is to get them to the sales page... I would use the redirect.

If your goal is to get more traffic to your website and HOPE they click on your salespage link... use your domain name.

If you are using your link inside an About the Author box with your Article Marketing campaign, I would definately use the top domain name and NOT the affiliate id or the redirect.

Just my opinion.

No matter which way you choose to promote your program, best of luck in your PIPS career.
