PIPS has a new helpdesk! It's pretty nifty. Sorry the other one was becoming problematic. Actually in an error state so we ran to ZenDesk. Smooth move Stone! ZenDesk |

Other News: I guess we are not going to have Live Chat right now. One of these days - we have almost gotten there a few times, but then decide against it in the end! I think it is the coolest thing next to web conferenece rooms. |

More News: Copied From pips tips & tricks thread http://www.warriorforum.com/plug-profit-site-support-forum/116274-tips-tricks-ez-reference-2010-add-yours-3.html#post2107350 ========================================== I am considering starting a Free PIPS Warrior Group Skype Chat so that I can text, voice and send files with people internationally for free - to work in Tandem with the PIPS Helpdesk & Operations. (free may change any day in the future) I am a trainer with an Internet automated marketing company that uses this model for support (and web conference for live and recorded training). Free Group Skype Chat works really well - better than a forum for support/helpdesk. Unlike a "Chat" client, it is like a 'conference call' with no phone - just pc to pc - no connect charges apply. Free download of Skype Client. ... all members can see what the other members are asking and the trainers and management answering. and i see members helping other members. trainers helping other trainers. It is in live time so no waiting around for an answer. ... to my mind, I like the concept of not saying something 1000 times but only a few times where everybody hears or sees it at once. Plus Skype has history - for all text - i have it going back 3 years 4 every conversation. This is perfect for training and giving people directions on how to resolve their issues. We can send hyperlinks and files directly without saying 'ok i will email you or ok i will send an email attachment' - With the same hyperlink we can all go to a specific website to discuss a problem you are having there. Lots of 'live time' enhancements to a typical heldpesk format. - to share files just click 'send file' browse click and then the receiver saves the file on their hard drive. zipped or unzipped in about 60 seconds. Any comments or feedback are welcome on whether you would be interested in participating in a free PIPS Group Skype Chat - for support, advice and fellowship. like a forum with voice capability for those with a headset/mic but free! (liberated) and private (by invitation). |

Roy - that is a caching issue with the forum - I just moved the link to a different area than the original link with www. Because that is what it takes to get rid of a linkage sometimes. I go to the 'submit a request screen' now from the link in the top of the thread as well as from my signature. Please try again now. |

Yeh this was a great day for the helpdesk transition team (stone and I and ZenDesk) I resolved an issue that has been a deal breaker to me since day one of the testing/trial period, ... and I have tried and tried to resolve it so that I wouldn't harp at Stone that we need a different helpdesk again. In other words we are still testing. Well it is a real long story - to me it is a critical element and nothing I tried to do to work around it or live with it worked for me. The ZenDesk Support is great. They talked me through a few of my own helpdesk tickets to them. Each time (twice) now this support person and I both thought of a solution at the same time (found a menu or link). Well today right after my 2nd or 3rd rant on this issue, within minutes I see a real tiny link at the top that has the data I need to resolve the issue so that I do not have to require anything from the ticket submitter (no registration). But ----> I get to see their full name and/or email address or PIPS ID. ZenDesk has a TICKET NUMBER and a USERNAME. Neither one means a thing to me and I am the one responding to the tickets. I need to know who is submitting the ticket so that I can search for an application or existing membership in the PIPS database and new order desk. Well they do but it is in a separate function than the tickets when I am opening them and responding to them. This is in the member's heldesk profile. Its an even longer story so I will just let you go and leave some of it out. Anyway - It looks like Zen Desk is our new Helpdesk! It's a Keeper! Yay! Trent and Roy! Thanks for going through my Debugging the PIPS Member Support Forum Helpdesk signature/link.. |
