Has Anyone heard of Clickbank Predators?!
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I took a chance and bought the clickbank predators software. I didn't realize there was a recurring charge, but I do now. I hope it's worth the $37 bucks per month and the initial $67 I paid. Well, I just started trying to get my site up and running and I am having all sorts of problems. The support team continues to send me automated tickets rather than answering my questions. I feel like there is a major delay. I bought hosting through godaddy but everytime I try to up load my info I get "database errors" and go daddy is not much help. They just want to either get me off the phone quickly or sell me more domain names. I am considering a different host. I am so frustrated. I want to get my sites up and running quicky and get the plug ins installed. Has anyone set up sites through this company and if so- can you please please give me some tips???? There are tutorials, but not for this. I also have a hard time understanding the guy in the vidoes because he has an accent. However, some videos are more clear than others. He seems like a nice guy, but I need more help.

Hi there,

Yes, I have heard of CB Predators - I bought it too!

I've spent a while getting to grips with it and for what they're worth, here are my comments:

1. I use HostGator hosting. Very good. I bought their "babygator" package and it seems fine to me. BTW, I registered my domains with GoDaddy, but don't use their hosting.

2. Getting CB Predators to work with HostGator Addon Domains seems to have been a struggle for many people - and was for me too - however, I cracked it the other night. In a public spirited move I wrote a tutorial on exactly how I did this, which I've loaded onto my website as a PDF and you're free to go get a copy.

I've not been a member long, so I can't post you a direct link to the PDF - however, if you go to my blog, "Successful Speaking Secrets" (the URL is in my signature), you see a page tab "CB Predators Tutorial" and it's right there.

I hope this is useful to you.

Best wishes and good luck.

Chris

Yes I don't want to diss this company but here's a thread that might interest you Sarah. I will say no more than that.

The best way to make money with products like this is to make one yourself and sell it to newbies. rarely do buyers ever make a cent.

Nothing will take the place of the hours of work Internet marketing requires for success.

Hey Sarah,

i understand your position - it can be really tough getting off the ground.

I've had a close look at cb predators - my advice would be to get out of it.

At this stage, i can do all the stuff manually, like setting up a blog and all that, but, if i were in your shoes, i'd go for firepow, by Andrew Hansen.

It is pricey at $117 a month or so, but it really is a great system - definitely go for it, if you can [ I think they have a 14 day trial for $1 ].

There's too much to go into here, just google it and you can check out the
sales letter and stuff.

If this is too high, then you could look at niche blogging institute, another of
Andrew's products, which i think is about 40 bucks a month - i've never actually tried it, but this guy really does do good stuff.

By the way, i have no connection with Firepow [not an affiliate link in sight!], this is just my honest opinion.

Hope this helps you!

Please post your progress or any other questions.

For what it's worth Sarah, I've just asked for my money back. Very unhappy experience. Full of bugs at launch, no documentation and not enough people on support - and product owners that didn't really seem too interested in customer service.

Chris, you are not alone and I suppose I am as dumbfounded as I am that such blatant disregard for customer care still exists. Most of us will allow for glitches, errors and stuff but not this. Probably said enough but simply acknowledging your frustration.

I found a link for Clickbank Predators through Tradebit for only $7.00, so if it does have any value, you can get it here. I don't think it has any monthly fees. No I am not an affiliate. Go to tradebit.com/filedetail.php/97437990-clickbank-predators-just-7-usd

So far, I haven't read anything good about the program. Here is another review that also might convince you not to waste your time or your money: imreportcard.com/biz-opps/cb-predators

Read the reviews at the end. They don't look very promising.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. I figured out how to use the plugins they provide and I am getting a lot of auto content, but I am wondering how to transition over to something new. I will lose the syndicate kahuna plugin if I pull away from CB predators. However, they do some very shady things like put thier affiliate link at the bottom of each one of my blogs. Here is one auto blog www.fbfreview.info

I tried to change this in word press, but it appears as though they don't give me access to it. The link at the very bottom that says "make money online" is their link. Is there a way to keep all the content I have and get rid of CB predators??? The site was published through word press, but it went through their portal. Is there a way to keep my site in tact and lose affiliation to them?? I guess I will lose all those plugins huh??

Hi
I have tried accounts at godaddy, hostgator and namecheap.

I find that the support at both namecheap and hostgator is far superior to GoDaddy's based upon my personnel experience.

I also had heard about the bugs at start up but had read on other forums where they had been fixed.

I would be surprised if you lose the content when you quit the program. But you should just ask them. I know DataFeedR has a cool affiliate store system and when you quit you keep everything it set up for you.

Hope this helps a little.

Mark

I'm not one to slam product providers too quickly. But I just wrote a negative review with my experience in my personal blog.

Bottom line is, I never get support, there has been no new content, I upgraded to platinum and there is still no platinum content (today is July 24, 2010).

I'm not going to tell you what I would do, but .. if you're 60 days with clickbank isn't expired....

Clickbank Predators had real potential. Unfortunately, the providers have chosen not to follow through.

That's just my opinion. But it doesn't seem to be different than others.

Oh by the way, Go Daddy is just not a good place for marketers. You will always have these problems there. Use someone like host gator, or blue host, or gvo.

CB Predators is basically just like other great products that teach affiliate marketing in the HOME BUSINESS niche.

If you guys and ladies can get a product or two like that to sell on your site, you will earn recurring commissions through clickbank which this concept can get you very far and earning a whole lot of money.

i'm glad i'm not the only one that had such a horrible experience with cbp, let alone my mentor, frank garon. no support or response since april/may! all of a sudden we just totally lost touch with them, no feedback, help, response, NOTHING. before that, when we did get responses, it took days or weeks. ridiculous.. and training and 'new features' were never expanded.

needless to say, i'm cancelling and getting a refund. promised the world. delivered the worst experience i've had yet.

DON'T GET CB PREDATORS. you'll be very sorry you did

I prefer the interface at Hostgator (cpanel). It is more intuitive and it's easier to search through the code. However I had a client at GoDaddy and had to call them to see where to access various things. They were very helpful-so perhaps if you pose as a hired gun rather than reveal you are the site owner, they might give you tech support instead of trying to sell you stuff. They did try to get me to have her renew an analytics package. I simply asked what the advantage of using it over Google analytics was. Their customer service person said she wasn't familiar with Google analytics.

If you need to retrieve your content you can always get it by browsing to your site, clicking source and then copying it into the html editor of wordpress. Of course you need to remove the headers. Or you can just select the text portion and enter it into the visual editor for wordpress. This will work even if you don't have access to your wordpress control panel. Just make sure you didn't sign away the rights to your content when you signed up.
