Ok, slow down, I know I'm just a newbie, I don't want to get rich from post one here! But I've been reading and spending days in the IM funnel since last winter so please, answer my question. If you don't like the question in the title, here's a second one: how did you make your first dollars from what you grew as your IM business, meaning how did you start in your succesful business? Tell your story for those that are at the beginning of this road. Please!

I saw PIPS in 2004. I didn't put in much effort in it.
I thought it will earn by itself. After 3 months, i gave up. But i keep the account opened.
I am restarted in PIPS in Nov 07.
My 1st check is USD100 in June 08.
At that time, i was very happy. My effort is finally paid.
Although i didn't make big money now.
I will continue my effort to achieve big money.

My first pay check came from Microsoft when I was 13 for running their pay per click ads on my webmaster resource site.

My second pay check came from Advertising.com (then TeknoSurf) for their CPM ads.

My third pay check came from Commission Junction for referring hundreds of leads to "free WebCards samples" that paid $2 per lead.

10 years later, making money is easy as waking up, picking an idea off the list, programming it and posting a few threads on forums. Done and done in a few hours. I have so many sources of online income now I hardly have to work... just a little e-mail support.

I started Pips way back in March of this year lol. I had an initial surge of sign ups to the various progs within pips, but this was mainly due to PPC with Adwords. I was not able to justify the cost of Adwords, so have slowed down with the sign ups as a resultbut I am concentrating on getting traffic through the free methods.

Recently however, I decided to stop paying for my EA in SFI and use the funds saved for promoting GDI both on my pips site and again PPC with adwords.

I have to say, so far the strategy is paying handsomely, I am just about breaking even and expect to go into profit next month using this strategy.

Did you actually downgrade from EA to ordinary affiliate in SFI or you used other means to achieve EA but not by "paying for"?

Did anyone else also have to downgrade after going EA in SFI.

Want to know whether the benefits of going EA at an early stage outweigh's the cost.

Hi Dele,

I have been paying a subscription to SFI for some months now to gain EA status and seeing little return for my efforts as I have not had any of my affiliates upgrade as yet. So basically, I stopped my subscription. Once I start to see my downline being productive, i may reconsider my decision but until then, I find my new strategy with GDI to be paying off.

I know many people are earning a good income from SFI but alas, I aint one of em. I have tried several methods to improve the situation but to no avail........as yet. I expect as my traffic increases to my web site, then so might the success with SFI but until that day, I will continue putting the funds to a more productive use.

Thanks Graham for your reply.

I guess you are referring to making purchases such as IAHBE as subscription since there really is no subscription with SFI?

Have you explored using the same method you are applying toowards GDI to actually promote SFI products to make sales and retain your EA status rather than making purchases for this purpose?

Also what of the guaranteed commission checks you receive as a result of locking in your position in the overall SFI companywide powerline?
