Hi all,

Can someone please itemise different ways by which one can monetise one's blog.

Secondly, Wordpress is usually given the thumbs up over google's blogger.
What are the features which when compared to blogger stands Wordpress shoulder high above blogger?

Dele, Monetization is one of the factors when choosing WordPress over Blogger. Blogger can shut down your blog if they don't like the content or if it is too commercialized for them. Even if you move your Blogger blog to your site it is still running on the Blogger controlled script. Basically when you move a Blogger blog to your site all you are doing is giving the Blogger script permission to create the pages on your hosting account but you have very little control over it.

WordPress on the other hand is all self contained on your site and you have complete control of it. It is yours to do with what you want and can't be shut down. Adding items to the sidebar of a WordPress blog is as simple as copy and paste with the use of widgets, so you don’t need to know where to edit the code of the theme. WordPress has a very big following with thousands of free themes and plugins available.

With the right plugins and options configured for SEO WordPress blogs can pull in traffic very quiclky if used correctly.
