I'm 21 years old, live in Melbourne Australia, and am currently studying Law/Business full time at university.

As the demands of my degree are rather time consuming, I got into internet marketing as a way to work from home with flexible hours.

I'd never had any experience in internet marketing, and my computer skills were pretty standard- I would never have known how to build a website, edit a page or upload a page a couple of months ago.

It's been about three months now and I have learnt an amazing amount in this short time.

So I'm new to Warrior, or so i thought?. Apparently i had already signed up for this site when i was trying to promote GDI. Never really taught me the importance of a site like this. Thats why it was another one that didn't work.
I've been bashing on the door for this on line money thing for the past 8 months. "seems like 8 years!
I've spent a whole load of time and money trying! I,m pretty much an expert on not what to buy!
Wasted a whole of time on programmes that were either far to difficult to implement, or left the little bits out "like this site" to actually show you how it is really done. The rest were just pure rip offs! & BS.
Thankfully I have now found a guy, who is genuine, teaches everything! step by step, on video, so it can be re-visited at any time.

So finally making it work. Hope this site will help me learn a bit more.

My name is David, and this is my first post, so I'm using this to check that everything is working as it should. I've had my eyes opened up to the possibilities of Internet income in the last couple of months. My wife Nicole and I are heavily into property investment, which is fantastic and how we have built our wealth, but the problem is that you run into cashflow problems. Up until very recently, I was an IT professional, and my salary was steadily increasing, but it is clear to me that I'm never going to get what I want out of life working for a wage.

I get a million business ideas going through my head every week, most of which have some real potential, so my challenge is to keep a lid on most of the ideas, on concentrate on a very few that have the best chance of taking off.

Just recently, I signed up to Michael Cheney's "Golden Thread" community, and I've found him to be a great communicator in the ways of Internet Marketing. There's been a heap of technical stuff so far about setting up websites and embedding keywords into original content, all of which I'm good at, but the next steps, which include Blogging and posting on forums is not something that comes naturally to me.

I'm a great listener, and prefer to let others do the talking while I quietly soak up information, so it's out of the comfort zone, and into the thick of it. Michael's approach, which I wholeheartedly agree with, is to do everything you can for your customers and other internet users. Be helpful, and find ways to make everyone's lives easier. Still being relatively new to this, I find it a little hard trying to dispense advice when I have so much to learn myself, but I'm sure that it will get easier over time.

Anyway, the best of luck to everybody else out there, may you all find the success that we're all chasing!

Hi, David Brooks again. I'm trying to get my email signature working, because nothing appeared on the last post. Everything comes with a learning curve, doesn't it?

I trained a while back as a secondary school teacher, so I have a fair bit of knowledge about the different ways that we all learn. In myself, I have a need for 'control' - I need everything else to be in order, like a tidy desk, bills paid, etc before I can tackle a large learning curve of something totally new. If something feels a little daunting, I want to know that I have a clear shot of at least a few hours to get immersed, otherwise distractions will interfere with my learning, and I begin to build a bit of a block that makes the challenge seem harder than it is.

So, for all of you who face learning curve challenges with the many facets of internet marketing, my advice as a qualified teacher is to break the tasks up into chunks which are not so large that they seem insurmountable, but not too tiny otherwise you don't give your confidence a chance to build and have a few of the gears in your mind click into place, so that the next session, you get to build on the last session's foundation. For me, that's about 2 hours work - I feel satisified that I've achieved something, I can build on it next time, and I can stick at anything for 2 hours no matter how hard it is, as long as I'm not getting distracted by kids or the phone or anything else.

Anyway, I hope that little time-management tactic helps a few people, and I hope that my email signature works when I post this!

My name is Michael Erps. My friends call me Merps. I just started internet marketing 3 days ago. I'm learning a ton - and that's why I'm excited about this newest adventure. I've been a computer technician for about 7 years, and have been running my own service company for the last 4. I've learned a whole lot about business, but so far it has cost me about $40k and a lot of credit card debt.

I stumbled across an offer about 6 months ago and read the emails I was getting from the autoresponder. They were numerous at first, but then slowed down to once a week, then once a month. About a month ago, I decided to visit the website again. I was up against a wall, and I'm sure that's why I was open to the message the landing page had to say.

I received the system on November 12 and immediately started putting things into action. I've been learning new internet marketing techniques, and listening to a TON of recorded training calls. I learn at least 2 new things on each call, and can't get enough. This is something that I can do. It's all about driving traffic to my website. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm pretty familiar with technology, but my marketing is shaky. That's exactly why my service company is struggling. Learning and implementing the skills within this sales system will teach me how to do things properly for my other business, too!

I'm having tons of fun, and loving the energy I'm feeling from this new passion. This forum will be great to share my journey and get a chance to know everyone else.

Hi, I'm from Illinois, and I have been working online for about 5 years. Before then I worked in tech support for IBM. I loved it there until I was laid off, and pregnant. Then my car broke down. My husbands business slowed down, and I was stuck with no money.
I found info online about working online. I started out on Ebay. I soon, within 2 weeks, had made about $20k. I bought a 4Runner paid in full, and after that, I was hooked on working online. I soon found other ways to make money online that didn't cost me any advertising. If you get to know me, you would know that I hate pay per click advertising. It's like gambling and I hate losing money.

I was born, raised and live in New Orleans. I simply adore this city I love to call home.

I've worked in the hospitality and tourism industry for almost 20 years. I started working for a beautiful hotel with a stunning courtyard located in the heart of the French Quarter from 1982-1995. During that time in 1985, I worked as a Purser on the Mississippi Queen, an overnight passenger boat. I lived & worked on the boat as she traveled on the Miss. River from New Orleans to St. Paul, and also on the Ohio River as far North as Pittsburgh, stopping in a different port along the way almost daily. You may have heard of them: The Delta Queen Steamboat Co., aka The American Classic Voyages. From 1995 to 2001 I worked for the Vice President of Hotel Operations in the main office of The Delta Queen Steamboat Co., and would most likely still be there today had they not closed their doors at the end of 2001 due to bankruptcy.

While working for the hotel I always wanted to start my own business. In '95 I began to purchase, renovate and flip real estate for profit. We did okay for the most part but by 2005 things changed; financially I wasn't where I thought I would be, a few personal problems and then Katrina hit. We flooded just like everyone else and I didn't handle things very well. It's been a little over three years and personally my life is much better.

Still wanting to work for myself I purchased my first computer about 18 months ago. It sat in the box for a year, while I flipped one last property damaged by Katrina. My partner, now boyfriend, put up the money and I was hired as the general contractor. We were going to split the profit 50/50. Well, 3 months into renovations, the market/economy decided to crash and when it was all said and done we could barely give the house away. We were lucky it sold at all. My partner/boyfriend lost a lot of money on that deal and I just worked for 10 months without pay. It was a real bummer!

Six months ago I finally pulled my PC from the box, went on-line for what seemed like the first time in my life. I knew email, but that was about the extent of it. "Google It" was not in my vocabulary.

I started looking for a job working online when I was first introduced to a MLM company. Needless to say, I purchased a lot of product and signed up my mom, sisters and a few friends. That lasted all but 20 minutes.

I moved on... Next thing I know, I was buying every "make money online" program that came my way. I hate to admit it but the truth is I was totally guilty of jumping from one program to another looking for "The One". I was on my PC night and day. I thought any day now I'll figure this out and start making money.

The money never came in. It went out... but nothing came in.

Next, I paid for a coach, who promised I would be rolling in the money within 2 weeks of "I'll hold you by the hand and walk your through step-by-step" training and promised I would recoup my investment within X amount of time. I worked really hard and I learned a few things, yet my coach is now history and my website on patios that he was helping me to build is not finished and still "no income". Let's just say for the price I paid I should have had a site that delivered gold to my doorstep!

Just for the record, I have not given up on my patio site.

In my quest to find answers, I found PIPS! That was about 3 months ago. But then it happened again...from the start with PIPS I had a few problems. Pat Brucoli? If you are reading this you may remember me. I got off to a rocky start. First, my domain name had a typo and I was already behind on the "30 Days To Success" before I even got started. I couldn't seem to get past Day #3 or was it Day #4 regarding the auto-responder. I couldn't seem to find the answers I needed. Next thing I knew I started to flounder. I was all over the place. I was not organized and feeling desperate that if I couldn't make this work, then that meant I wasted all that time & money for nothing. Quitting was NOT an option. But going without income was also NOT an option.

I know for a fact that there are people who are making a comfortable living using the Internet. I asked myself, So why not me? What was it that I was doing wrong or maybe it was what I was not doing? I was terrified that I would have to give up my dream forever.

Well, just 5 weeks ago, I finally broke down and got that day job. No, it didn't kill me. I thought it would but I'm now happy and proud to say I'm working part time at my friends restaurant and the extra cash has been a lifesaver. Getting away from my computer for a few hours each day helped me clear my head, as well.

I may not have the answers to the "mysteries of life" but there are a few things I've learned. First, I now understand why it's so important to join a forum such as this one. Why I didn't join like I was instructed to do so from the beginning is beyond me. I believe I felt I had to learn everything first before joining. Maybe I felt I didn't know enough to contribute. What could I possible write about?! I was just learning this Internet business.

I regret not joining this veridical and intelligent group of marketers 3 months ago for I would have saved myself a lot of wasted time and energy.

Well, I'm here to change all of that. I will learn to ask questions from my peers. And I will follow your instructions and your directions should you be willing to help me.

My apologies for the long introduction. So, I'll wrap this up with a big thank you for listening and I'm looking forward to a great working relationship with all of you in the future.

I like to online and play online games since I was a small kid until recently I knew about PIPS. I think is very good for me to use my computer to generate some money rather than wasting time addicted to computer games and suff the net blindly without any aim. Now I have to target to achieve which is succeed to generate some bucks from my home.

I used to spend my free time online playing games after came home from school. After I worked for my cousin for few months, I felt that working for long hours is boring and cannot get what I want to get. So after I found PIPS, I tried all my best to invest with budget, do everything I can do to learn all I be able to learn while at the same time try to promote my site with my full effort. I feel great with my dad that will encourage me to invest in anything I like. He taught me not too depends on guaranteed salary job and try to invest something valuable. PIPS is something valuable to invest because of its potential and long terms results.

I had joined PIPS for about 15 days but I read through whole 30 days to success guide. Hoping that I can achieve good result in 2 - 3 months time.

My support manager (Matt) recommended I have a look round this forum and after reading a few threads I can see why.

Hi - my name is Traci. I'm new to WF; and actually new to IM & affiliate marketing. I have finally made two sales after 4 months of effort; so to say I'm struggling is a bit of an understatement. However, I'm feeling a bit of urgency as my husband works for Chrysler at the Fenton, Missouri plant - and well, if you watch the news at all, you know it's not looking good for the auto industry. So I really need to get cracking in generating some income.

I've owned a web design company for the past 10 years and operate that from my home office. It's nice to have those skills, but being 'for hire' is of course, time intensive and while I am not afraid of working hard, I'd rather work smarter at doing something that will give me a better return on my time investment.

So I am here to learn.
