website search in google?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hey Team

happy New Year

Just wondered, if i build a new website (now), is there a quick way to see what page it is on in google ?

Ie, At the moment the way i do it is i build a site, then i do a google seach for the keywords that im targeting and then just keep looking down the page a clicking through to the next page until i find my new site......

BUT as it is new could be on page 100 !!!

I find this a bore, does any of you guys know a way how i can see what page it is actually on without the long winded scrolling through page after page?

Im just interested in seeing: what page it starts on and how quickly it moves up the pages etc

Many Thanks for your help

I prefer using Google Search itself having hitherto used the other automatic tools without satisfaction. Some go way off-mark while some are sometimes "locked out" by Google. Some are also paid tools while some that are FREE are limited in usage allowed.

Here is a post on my blog explaining :

Hi Dele, that is an interesting way to check. It is basically the same as going page by page except you are viewing 100 results at a time. If you prefer to have 100 results at a time simply go to the top right of Google search and click settings, then click "search setting and change your "Number of Results" preference to 100 . If you are unable to change the display preference look for "Google Instant" and change it to "do not use Google Instant".

Although I already posted them above I use Free Keyword Density Analyzer Tool quite a lot and it is accurate as well as Keyword Density Checker - Keyword Frequency Analyzer which might be a little better as far as available tools, (you can use the tools on the left).

The above two tools will help you find your keyword density on your site, it's good for SEO

Thank you Stephen.

As i said, i actually have used some of those tools before and was not satisfied.

Secondly, even though i noticed from my visitor statistics that you visited my site/the post, perhaps you did not go through it completely. If you go through it completely, you will see that whenever you are presented with each 100 pages, you click on Ctrl+F ... and it highlights with a color, the exact spot your site is ranking for the particular keyword. You do not have to search manually for it.

Dele, of course I visited your site, that is how I knew what you posted and how I was able to comment on it and how you knew I was there, my comments that is. I even read the whole thing and followed your guide when i realized setting up Google preferences would be much faster. Time is my most scarce resource. LOL

Ctrl+F brings up the search in all circumstances because it is PC based. I use it to check my web page source file to make sure I have the right things in the right places. I also use it to find keywords in articles when i have them ghost written to make sure the KY density is correct. I even use it in certain games to help me find codes, otherwise known as cheats. It helps make life easier.

We all have our preferences, mine, I like tools that make things go much faster so I use those that are available. I'm perfectly satisfied with the tools I use because they work but they're not for everyone. Most of them are free but not always. Some times it actually cost money to market online.

Hopefully Chrissy had her question answered and now has a few options, options are good.
