Nowhere in the training are you warned of the following:
YAHOO Directory Sumbission
For web sites that do not feature adult content or services, the Yahoo! Directory Submit service costs US$299 (nonrefundable) for each Directory
listing that is submitted. Furthermore, for each listing accepted into the Directory, there is a recurring annual fee of US$299 to maintain the
listing in the Directory for the subsequent year.

Or am I missing something somewhere?:confused:

Yeah they changed the Yahoo directory to a paid directory several years ago.

Hi,

I have never paid for the yahoo directory and have sites at the top of search engines. Its not a required expense. You dont need to spend this amount of money until later on in your internet marketing career when income is coming in. Even then its not going to stop you for being ranked in the search engines...

The yahoo Directory looks kind of interesting. I searched a couple keywords I use to get top spot in the SE's and a bunch of Directory listings come up or similar products. When i search using Yahoo Search engine using the exact same keywords the sites in the directory didn't even show on the first page. They don't show on Google or Bing either.

I'm guessing one of two things, the Directory gets a lot of daily visitors or it just isn't worth the money. For me, it isn't worth the cost.
