You probably will not be able to copy over your links. But it's still easy. Just highlight the words you want to link and click the link button in the tabs above your post. A box will appear and you just insert the URL. It will hyper link yoiur text automatiucally after that. |

Be careful pasting from MS Word or another website it can retain formatting that may not properly show on the blog. Best to use a text editor like Notepad or Wordpad. I know some people like to use Word for spell check and other reasons. If you must use it paste the text from it into the HTML editor not the visual editor on your blog. Some characters like apostrophes ' and quotation marks " may show up very strange. This can also happen when submitting copied MS Word documents at article sites. Worse case scenario is if an open HTML tag gets into your post it can really mess things up. Without the tag closed everything under it will pick up the open HTML command causing some strange things to happen like most of the blog not showing at all. WordPress has an advanced visual editor available that can take pasting from Word and other similar applications. It looks like a little W up on the visual editors toolbar. Clicking it will open a window to paste into. It tries to remove unwanted formatting. |

Yes, I agree with Houdy. Stick with a text editor like Notepad for copy & pasting to your blog, or pasting to an article submitter like Article Marketer. Then you won't have to worry about formatting. Dave |

Yes, what Houdy said is absolutely correct. It happened to me a long time ago and it messed up things so bad that my RSS could not work. That was a little scary. Believe me you wouldn't want to change your RSS address and inconvenience not just yourself but your subscribers. I had to troubleshoot the error codes one by one and removed the culprits. Well I learned from mistakes like this but you won't have to. You just learned it here. Peter Lee |
