Got an email from someone wanting to do a link exchange. I don't really understand how you go about doing that and just wondering if that's a good thing to do and if it is should I do it on my PIPS site.

They used to work wonders but their effectiveness has greatly diminished over the years. They can still work to some degree but don't rely on them completely. Only exchange with HIGH QUALITY websites that are at least somewhat established and related to your site/niche in some way.

I agree with what Trent said. It is really tedious to exchange links manually. If you are going to go this way, I advise setting up a program like Linkmachine.com Just be sure to manipulate your account settings so that you approve each site - you do need to be careful who you link with as you will be painted with the same brush if they are spammers, scammers, etc. |

A Link Exchanges is an amalgamation of websites that operates analogously to a web ring. Webmasters account their web sites with a axial organization, that runs the exchange, and in changeabout acquire from the bargain HTML blank which they accept into their web pages.

Thanks for the advice. I guess advertising on sites like traffic swarm is the best way to exchange links I guess.
