MyWorldPlus card declined... Is yours too???
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi Warriors,

Can anyone please share your experience of using MyWorldPlus membership card personally anywhere successfully?

I tried using it in Burger King in Orlando, Florida (I was there on a vacation) but failed. They said they do not know anything of such a discount card.

Please share your experiences.
Would definitely like to know from someone who is successfully using this card to the fullest.

Thanks,
Aviroop

I think the logical thing for you to do is to contact MyWorldPlus -

Hi Aviroop
After reading your post I got curious and checked my own discount options.
I rang a couple of golf resorts.
The first said they never heard of MWP or any discount offers.
Best of all, when I rang the phone number for the second one, some other company answered and said the golf resort had been gone for 6 years!
I only tried three(no answer on other one) but as my renewal was due I quit thanks to your post and my efforts.
ps. no I did not try to contact MWP as I did not want to renew. That is my opinion and if any everyone else is getting great discounts, enjoy.
Steve.

We have known for some time that the coupons MWP has work mostly only for the USA. I only knew of one hotel discount that was available internationally.

However it is still a good Intenet business opportunity as anyone, anywhere can sell it to USA prospects.

Therefore although the member benefit of having the coupons would be nil for international users, it is still a good opportunity to make commissions.

I am sorry about their protocols but think you should have contacted them about these issues to be sure -

I did realize that I would be mostly promoting this to US prospects when I checked the discounts for Aussie members(where I am I had golf and motels-don't use either), but as Aviroop mentioned he went to the US and they did not know anything about discounts from MWP.
That is what made me check the few I mentioned above and as my last prospect was from the other side of Australia, that was what 'threw me'.
I did not want to promote this program anymore because if this other 'aussie' joined for the discounts, then he might be disappointed.
I will guess you will say about promoting just to US prospects but what if I had joined to get some discounts from some golf courses? I'd be very disappointed.

I agree and I do understand your concern. That is why, had you stayed in, it would have been good to let them know they have a couple out of date listings there that they may not be aware of - if for no other reason than the perception of the company these should be removed...

With Burger King they are franchises - owned by individual entities - so the particular one that Aviroop went to may have opted out of participating while many others are in.

I am not participating or I would tell them myself. Maybe I can get Stone to contact them.

Sorry for the disappointment.

Hi Pat,

With most of the US restaurants and not just Burger King most of them dont even know about the discount. They are involved in so many promotions and discount cards that its too much to keep up with quite frankly. My daughters softball organization sells a membership card that gives you discounts at certain places. The best advice I can give is bring in the card and have them check with a manager, district manager, or franchise owner. Once they have checked with someone "higher up" its never been denied. I have always gotten the discount and I have been in MWP for years now.

Persistence

Take care

Yes that is so true Jeff - I was just about to mention that - the person you are asking on the phone or in the store may just not be aware of it.

I have had this experience a lot lately with various customer service interactions - and 'I would like to speak to your Supervisor' are almost like magic words - all of a sudden the elevator goes to the top -

For Aviroop and Steve et al

Hello - we sent your comments to the owner of MWP and he answered as follows:

To address these two issues.

1. You can't just take the card to Burger King or any other merchant and expect to get anything. The truth is the plastic card itself is worthless. You don't even need it. All you need to do is print the coupon from the discounts section and take that printed coupon to Burger King or whatever merchant and they honor it every time. I have NEVER had anyone say it doesn't work, and I use it myself all the time.

2. Same thing with this guy. The discount part of our program is sponsored by Access. Nobody knows MWP. So if you call them and say do you honor MWP discounts, they will say, no, we have no idea what that is. But same as above, if you print the coupon from the site and bring it to the merchant, they will honor it.

It works every time if people use it the right way

Ben

Maybe they need to explain that better in the the MWP back office ... OR just do away with the "worthless" card and tell people upfront that they need to print out the coupons to actually get the discounts/specials.

Evidently there are ALOT of "members" out there that are unaware of this.

Just saying ... ;-)

Yes, I agree - it might be helpful if you told them that since there is nothing we can do about their protocols.

If it is just one person - like when I contacted him - they can say it is 'one-off' and ignore it - but if they get enough feedback that it may affect their bottom line maybe they will listen...

Hi All,

I noticed you are discussing MWP, so let me state my experience. I am from Ontario Canada and I have tried many times but so far I am unsuccessful so I am about to quit too. I am unable to refer it to my friends and relatives because here because I cannot even benefit myself. Thanks

Regards,

Vin

Vinnetta - I understand that the member benefits are not as good outside the USA.

However it is still an income opportunity -- you should not limit your thinking to your area - you are on the World Wide Web and you can just as easily sell the business opportunity/referral to someone anywhere in the world as in your area; albeit I do understand the major selling point might be the coupons.

It is a wonder in this day and age that companies are not more cognizant of the GLOBAL concept and still limit themselves to geographic areas...

PDAWG has had all his serial drive-by posting comments removed, been infracted for littering, told to stay out of the PIPS forum, and hopefully will be banned from the Warrior Forum entirely - and actually pretty for surely if he keeps up his oh-so-coy performance to increase his post count.

Good Morning Everyone,
I have used the printed coupons several times at BK and never had a problem(yes, I did read about the need to print out the coupon on the site a while back, its part of the fine print ) But what I would like to know is, does the other parts of the card work, ie- the discount online? Has anyone used it for any rebates when shopping or used it at a store? It was quite a hassle to get it registered at Offic Depot for me but I haven't even used it since I got it registered as I have OD discounts from other scources. I had a pre-enrollee ask about using it in Canda and India and had to tell him I was not sure as I live in Southern Indiana, but I am trying to push the income opportunity. As this is my first contact about it I dcould use any help or ideas I can get from the forum.

Thanks,

Jerry,

The best place to get information about any of the affiliate programs - the compensation plan, the benefits, etc. is directly from the program. If it is not in FAQs on the site itself or member back office then they all have support/helpdesks =

in this case, support(at)myworldplus.com

While the forum is a great place for advice and brainstorming - you often get incomplete or even wrong information. Particularly with this one as there are different areas, countries, etc that have different criteria.

From what I have heard there are few coupons that work outside the USA - and I might be wrong since I am basing that on second hand information from a while back - things might have changed - so refer to the program directly.

With that said, we are on the 'world-wide-web' - someone in India can sell something to someone in the USA just as easily as they can sell to someone in India - So it remains that this can be a good income opportunity for anyone, while the member benefits (coupons) may not be for everyone...
