The Tale of 2 PIPS Co-ops
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Causing a lot of confusion judging from the mail I get on the PIPS Helpdesk, is the entrance of the newest PIPS Co-op.

It does not replace the other Co-op - It is just a 2nd option that has very different services.

The Original PIPS Advertising Co-op (Dustin Cannon) uses blog, article and social network marketing. These are long-term strategies that will help you develop a foundation for your business by building back links. $97 Total Plug-In Profit Site Marketing On Auto-Pilot!
('bizoppmarketing.com')

The New PIPS Co-op is about email marketing including solo ads and also uses a rotator on one of Stone's sites (when a sale is made, whoever's PIPS ID number comes up is the one that gets it). It is still being developed and more services being added as Stone works it out. $47 per month Plug-In Profit Site Co-op
('pluginprofitsitecoop.com')

(People who joined Resorts360 Deluxe level have 3 years free membership in the new Co-op).

There will be more to define the two Co-ops as time goes on - (I will let you know when I know)...

Both are great benefits that will save you time - as I often say, you have to decide whether you have more money than time or more time than money. Either way you need (ideally) to have these functions - do it yourself or pay for it to be done for you.

In any case you need to set an operating budget that you can live with comfortably over the long-term. Don't speculate. Be realistic in how much time you actually have to spend on your business as well as how much money you can spare and determine the best course of action for YOU. Don't get in over your head which will cause you to rush, quit or go bankrupt.

{In anticipation of people who will come and say - 'I have been working my butt off for a whole week and/or paying every cent I don't have and these strategies just don't work'.}

NOBODY can guarantee what will happen in the future as a result of anything you do, unless they are psychic. They can only guarantee to perform the services you are paying for. Everything in life is about taking risks - from walking out your front door to marketing. The success or failure of any marketing or advertising is about the techniques and strategies used, and how much effort is expended OVER TIME. It is also affected by the economy and consumer confidence, like everything else.

Look at what an average conversion rate is. 1 to 2% - what does this mean? It is normal for only 1 to 2 people to respond to 100 ads. (and normal for 0 to respond to 98-99) So (a) you want to generate hundreds or thousands of ads OVER TIME, and (b) you want to be consistent and get that 1 or 2% in your camp. - this does not mean put out a hundred ads and sit back and wait - it means building and SUSTAINING MOMENTUM OVER TIME. (Keep moving forward, don't look back)

Put this into perspective by realizing how many ads you see on the Net, TV, magazines, newspapers, email, and snail mail, etc. How many do YOU respond to? None? - that is normal. So that doesn't mean everything is a scam does it? No it doesn't.

Give things a chance and don't run to Google to look for your site after 24 hours. It takes TIME. Don't be skeptical and give off negative vibes that will zap your motivation. No matter what the results, just keep hoping and working for the best in the future. Every day is a new chance if you keep trying.

Please do not come here and whine or bash either Co-op (or any program) after 1 day, 1 week or 1 month, or 1 year, if you have not made a sale. Your comments, whether true or not will be seen by the entire world and you are doing harm to everyone by diminishing their chances as well as your own from 'negative press'.

Good post Pat!

The co-op at BizOppMarketing.com is about content and link building to create online real estate.

Here is what you get with BizOppMarketing.com

We have hundreds of articles and press releases and more on the web funneling traffic to a rotator.

Stone's co-op is about advertising through email marketing and sharing traffic from one of his websites.

They are really 2 different things and every successful marketer I know does both content marketing and link building as well as paid ads like email marketing, etc.

P.S. to my posts above.

Remember that all advertising expenses - whether you get results or not are legitimate tax deductions for your home business/self-employment.

So it is a both an educated and a measured risk that is really no risk.

Remember to keep all documentation - Paypal and your bank or credit card have monthly statements that you can print out - Be absolutely sure you have legal proof of any deductions you claim.

Put them in a folder all year so you can find them when it is time to do your taxes.

I think both of the Co-ops can work out well. I know that you can't be guaranteed success, but this can help you with time so that you can focus on something else. I am going to sign up for the New's Pips Co-op this week b/c that is all I can afford. I am going to sign up for Dustin's in May. I will keep you guys posted. Remember this is a marathon not a sprint.
