Raja, No WP Plugin is required. Use the tools available within your CPanel account. Below are 2 videos I put together to help you and anyone else that may need assistance. The first video is on how to create a database within CPanel and the second video is how to backup your video using PhpMyAdmin in your CPanel account. Hope these help you out. Allen Lundy http://www.giewiz.com/DatabaseCreation.zip http://www.giewiz.com/database_backup.zip P.S. Just download the zip file, unzip on your computer (Remember where you save the file... Ü)... click on the HTML file inside the folder to watch the video and you should be just fine. |

Hi Guys, just wonder if you can have as many Plugins downloaded and active in wordpress as you like or should you stick to a minimum. Does it affect anything if you have many downloaded and active Plugins? I mean there a quite a number of usefull plugins out there. Please advice. Thanks Guys.

I would stick to a minimum amount. Just because there are tons of plugins, you should decide which ones are going to really be needed for your site to function properly. Each plugin affects your database. The more plugins, the slower your site will perform. If the plugin isn't integral to your site, I wouldn't upload it to the plugin folder. On my sites, I generally only have 3 - 5 plugins active at any time. Akismet, Featured Article Gallery, Wordpress Importer and a couple of special plugins I use to upload my articles in batches to each category in zip format and a plugin that converts my text to HTML for better search engine indexing. Beyond that, I don't use a lot of plugins - that's just me. Check out the Plug In Profit Synergy link in my sig to see the Featured Article Gallary. It's a very nice feature for any blog. Allen |
