Tips On building my list?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

No matter how many times I read this in day 5 of the training I can't seem to grasp how exactly we are to build our list of subscribers? I simply have not been able to upgrade the autoresponder, so I moved on to the next steps. Now I've joined Stone's advertising co-op and of course Pauls Package, but feel I'm missing something. So from what I'm understanding we must join a ton of forums closely related to our niche market, such as making money from home, then go to blogs, etc? OR we can buy solo ads to build a list of so many subscribers? I'm assuming posting your website and affiliate link on free places would be another way to build your list, I'm so confused on this, don't know how I am all of a sudden? Any tips would be great thank you

Best way is to
1. Find a niche
2. Make a squeeze page just for collecting emails
3. Provide some value in that niche as an ebook or newsletter to increase sign up
4. Drive traffic to the page

That is the most logical way.
There are many methods for achieving each one of those.
Just look around you will get plenty of help in this WF.

1. Send ALL your traffic to your squeeze page

2. Get traffic via adswaps and solos ads, plus whatever traffic your main site gets funnel them into your squeeze page.

3. You autoresponder is setup with msgs selling PIPS , let it do the work for you.

4. Send ALL your traffic to your squeeze page

Build your list as big as possible as quick as possible, any money you make re invest through solo ads.

This is the best and quickest way to make money, seo for me took way to long and was a lot of hard work, setting up adswaps and buying solos ads is a breeze and brings better results

Jason

Re: Tips On building my list?

The best way to build a list is to give something out for free in return for their email.

Everyone likes getting something for free, right? So why not write a short report or a mini ebook with some info that your visitors want in return for their email.

So the first thing you should do is to find your target visitors in the niche you are in.

Lets take the get your ex back niche for example. The average affiliate will present their offer to just about anyone in this niche. Boyfriends, girlfriends, people in relationships, etc.

And in the end they wonder why they can't get people to sign up to their list or get acceptable conversions. The trick is to find the group of people that are in PAIN that desperately want your solution NOW.

And the group that is the hungriest in the ex back niche are those that just RECENTLY had their ex leave them.

So when setting up a list you should think about what might be going on in their head during this phase in their life.

...they are lonely, they miss their partner, they are afraid someone might take their place, etc.

All these are EMOTIONS that trigger them to feel the way they do. Now, the trick is to write about these emotions on the page that has your autoresponder sign in.

Make them feel and see that you know what they are going through. And then your freebie should help them solve one of the immediate problems they are having such as...

..."5 Tips To Get Your Ex To Pick Up The Phone Today"...
..."3 Mistakes That Might Keep You From Having A Second Chance With Your Ex Again"...
..."1 Trick That Makes Your Ex Miss And Long For You Quickly"...

Again, all these headlines talk about feelings and emotions. So whatever niche you are in, make sure your freebie triggers an emotion and then solves an immediate problem they are having.

If your freebie is good enough they will sign into your list to solve the immediate problem they are having.

The next step now is to get that sale. And you can do that through your autoresponder series. Make 5 to 7 messages about 2 to 3 days apart each.

In your headlines for your autoresponder series you should be as personal as possible in order to get their attention. Talk about things like, "Keep Your Ex From Finding Someone Else With This 1 Trick", "Keep Her From Getting In The Sack With Some Stranger With These 5 Steps".

You've got to really get their attention and push emotional buttons without being offensive at the same time.

Now, in the messages in your autoresponder series you should touch on that emotional cord again and give a reason why they should solve that problem today. And the solution that will solve their problem should be the link to your affiliate site.

Here is an example:

Message title: "Proven Way To Keep Your Ex From Moving On And Forgetting About You"

Message: Your ex left you and you know that some stranger has been waiting for this day to happen. You know that you had a good thing going but sadly, things didn't work out the way you had expected.

Now that your ex is single, they can go with anyone they please and there is a good chance that they might move on and forget about you at some point or another.

Even though there is a chance that they might forget about you, the fact is that you can keep it from happening by getting your ex back into your arms again before it is too late.

And you know that the more time someone stays away from their ex, the easier it is to forget about them and move on. So the smart thing you can do is to follow a set of proven tips that has helped many ex's get their love of their life back into their arms again.

And the best part about it is that it is easy to follow. Because your time is valuable, I don't want to waste more time talking more about it. But you can find out more about these proven tips here (affiliate link).

...It's that simple. Just write emotional messages that speaks on what they might be going through their mind and your solution will be the affiliate link.

And each message in your autoresponder series can touch on a different thought that might be going on in their head especially when their ex had just recently left them.

And now, getting traffic and eyeballs on your opt-in list.

You can do this through ppc campaigns, seo (ranking websites and articles), social media (facebook, twitter, etc), forums where people talk about the subject, high traffic blogs, yahoo answers, etc.

Hi Jason,
Thank you for the wonderful tips
Can I ask you something about a squeeze page? What would you suggest my squeeze page be about if I were to get one of these?

hi JennyZ,

well you can definitely build a lit of prospects, if you don't have a list then you are missing out a very important section of this online business.

well to build a list by following the SIMPLE STEP BY STEP PROCESS:

  1. find a profitable niche which interests you.
  2. build a squeeze page - the purpose of this page is to capture email address and name of your prospects.
  3. you need to offer something for FREE and most important it should be of value to the person.
  4. once they give you their email address and name tell them that they need to verify their email address to get your FREE Report.
  5. once they confirm their email address take them to a new page where they can download the report or email them as an attachment
this will help your to build relationships with your prospects in the long run.

i hope this few points about building a list will be helpful for you.

and if I can help you with anything - please don't hesitate to ask!

Jenny, if it's PIPs you are promoting you are provided some free squeeze pages in your back office. They are written fairly well. But, I would modify them and personalize them with your name etc.. Plus you can add some freebies to them to make them more attractive.

A very good way to build a big list fast is through JV Giveaways and traffic exchanges. JVG's require a good free product but they work well with a little know how. Traffic exchanges get a bad reputation because people don't know how to use them. Most don't even know what TE to use for best results. There are good ones and bad ones and many of them cater to different audiences. Both are good sources if used correctly.

I'll also add, to build a succesful business you have to do certain things. One of those is you need to start branding yourself. You know Stone Evans by his picture and you associate his picture with PIPs, he has branded himself. Another person who is successful now is Jason Cardamone. He started out with a rediculous video and squeeze page on traffic exchanges, atleast that's where i first seen him. His videos were crazy, he yelled a lot and didn't seem quite professional. But he branded himself and grew his business on recognition. When you brand yourself correctly people see two things when they either see a picture of you or a video of you, trust and your business.

So yea, build a list but give people something of you in return. Don't hide behind some icon and expect to be very successful. People have always and will always buy from people.

Find out how this guy went from being over $40,000 in debt to having total financial freedom and how you can to.Click Here: Freedom ~

Stephen, thank-you for all the useful information contained in your post above.

I have not yet used JV giveaways so will be exploring this option further.

I also truly like the point you make about branding yourself. Twitter and Facebook constantly highlight the need for branding. Thank-you for the eye-opener that branding is just as important in the IM world as in any other business. It is also a great way to build further trust with prospective clients that join your list.

Thanks again for the valuable advice.

One of the best ways to get traffic to your squeeze page is Facebook :

1- Create a new account on facebook

2- create a fan page which carry a brand name (or your real name)

3-get someone to make a logo for your fanpage (99design.com is the best)

4-make sure you post at least 6 peace of contents on your wall ,and don't forget video content (very important! even you can't make a video ,just take any video related to your niche from youtube and put it there!)

5-Create a free report or free video custom page (you can hire a freelancer to do it for u) in your fan page to collect emails and this is important step don't start to add friends until you complete this step

6-Now you can add friends from other fan pages that related to your niche (very targeted) 30 friends per day is more than enough

7-keep on adding friends and new free content on your fanpage till it goes VIRAL!
and remember only share free content on your fan page don't sell to them anything ,you only sell stuff through your mailing list (Autoresponder!)

8-do share free content that makes you a little bit experience than them in your niche so they can trust you and purchase whatever you offer to them (this is the main concept they will never buy anything from you if they see that you are like them) and this what we call the "Positioning"
position ur self as an expert!

i hope that could help you a little

Building your list of what? Leads, Customers. Phone numbers and Emails.

Usually a list consists of information. I have a list of 400 customers. However I have a list of 800 contacts. There is a big difference between customers and contacts.

I also have a list of close friends in marketing that I work with on a daily basis.

Hey jenny

Tip: With perpetual 20 (the great Ewen Chia ) it has a monthly product section. USE IT now i not going mad but i did have to capital use it, people are just not thinking out of the box enough. now with the monthly products there is a lot of PLR MRR products there where you can use for your op-in campains.and also you will find training videos on how to set this up with getresponce video training. please make sure you read the licence to make sure you can give the product away for free. " List Builder Launcher" has MRR rights is a product the can be given away free, check the rest out and you will find what suits you.
