Building a List
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hello All,

I am still puzzled with that list building thing and Auto responder, just don't get it, sorry! We are using GetResponse for that, right? I am with PIPS for almost 3 month now and never received anything. Just wonder why? Shouldn't I get something? Honestly I do not know how this Build a List thing works. Can I somehow access the current campaign? Change things? I wonder what the Auto responder ad says. Is it hard to create a list and how is it done? What do I have to do? Could anybody please give me some advice on Building a List and how to set it up. I really struggle with this list building and everyone talks about how important a list is. Please advice. Thank you Guys.
Regards, Martin

First off, go to your personal website and sign up for your autoresponder. Then you will start getting the messages and you can see what they say.

After that, go to your 30 day training and start studying. It's all in there and it's all explained.

While studying the training start searching Google for information of auto-responders, SEO and other questions you have and start studying some more. Also, search this forum, not only the PIPs support forum but the main forum also. There is a wealth of knowledge in this site.

As far as list building goes you need to use the tools given in your PIPs back office. There are capture pages, websites and much more that are given to you free to build your list. Learn to use those tools by studying the training then put them to work.

Building a list is a long-term task that needs works and dedication.

First of all you have to create some kind of lead-capture system. For example, you can set up a squeeze page offering something free (it must be something of quality). People, in order to get it, should enter their email in your opt-in box. This is the very first step.

Once they are on your list, you want them to keep opening your further emails. You need to create a relationship with them. To do it, you should keep sending them free good and valuable information. Create a follow-up list of messages that will be delivered to any new subscriber. Do not sell anything yet. Just give. You are building a relationship.

After some emails, you can start selling. Besides sending promotional emails, keep sending free valuable information to keep you relationship up.

Hi Martin

Here's a question that I always ask someone who is struggling with listbuilding.

Give me the url of a webpage where I can join your list?

If you can't answer this in 1 second then you're not building a list. For example if you have a blog does it have a plug-in that is putting your opt-in form on each page?

Also if your advertising does the page your promoting generate leads for the company you are promoting, or leads straight into your own autoresponder?

Lastly if you don't have you own report / leadmagnet go out and create something.

Then once you have this you can pay someone to create a squeezepage, or go to youtube for video tutorials of how to set these up, once you've done it once it really is simple to repeat.

Martin list building could be extremely profitable to your business.. It does take time but if done right you will reap great benefits.
You def should have some sort of squeeze page with a free offer of useful information for the public. Do not put some random stuff together and throw it into an email. Put in some work into the information.
I personally use Aweber, I just find it easier to use and never had any hassles with the service.

List building is one of the hardest aspects of having an online business.

It really is something that you and every marketer should do.

It's not easy, but, it is essential.

Stone has provided some really good insight into building your list, as well as he has provided some good squeeze pages.

However, no matter how good your squeezepage is, or how good the offer is to your visitors, if you don't have traffic to your website, you won't build your list.

The easiest, fastest and least expensive way to drive traffic to your website is through Social Marketing. The more sites you are a member of, the more traffic you will get once you are set up properly.

There are TONS of instructions and books on list building, however, I find it's much easier to view high quality videos to learn the in and out of building a list.

Take your time, don't get frustrated, it takes time to get quality traffic and it takes time to build your optin list.

Hello Allen, thanks for your help. I haven't actually created a squeeze page yet, I have made a design though but don't really want to buy squeeze pages. You are saying that Stone has provided some good squeeze pages. I was looking in the Back Office but couldn't find any. Please tell me where they are located. Where else could I get great squeezes pages from without having to spend a lot of money? Any suggestions? Thanks for your help Allen.

Squeeze pages are located in 'Marketing' - Look at the top left corner of the screen when you are in the PIPS back office -

This is great information....I also need to start building my list....but my only hesitation at this point has been not being experienced enough as of yet to be able to handle tons of questions which might come pouring into my email. I want to be organized and have a better handle on things with my PIPS site first. I'll start with Ezine Marketing and I'm willing to try this squeeze page option as well, so this is great information, great questions and answers here :-)
