I noticed that most forum participants do not have their photos posted for proper identity. I feel really concerned when I read very good threads and posts and I do not get to see the person behind such good information. I would therefore like to appeal to all forum members to update their profiles by adding their photos as avatars for proper identity. I think this will help you to build credibility as well as believability. Seeing the real person behind the good postings has many advantages and benefits to both forum members and other users. What do others say? |

Hello, Goleza: I agree with you 100% regarding the purpose and value of using a photo in your forum and social site profiles. One of the first things we learn as aspiring entrepreneurs is that everything we do should be aimed at building our image, our credibility, our brand. If we want to be taken seriously, and if we want to develop trust, it must begin by presenting ourselves as real people who are approachable. GT |

I totally agree with you and I think some "providers" are even missing out on sales... Also having the real name displayed adds another trust point (I have a name change pending currently LOL waiting for a reply from support) |

How do you actually know if that is the photo of the person or not? What I have seen online really will open your eyes. Google has millions of photo's. With a new clickbank product by carson, well he suggests that you google a picture of a person an apply to your info blog for credibility. lol well if info is good and then i try it and it works, it add a little to their credibility. and build again and agin over time. now with my pic im not a hollywood pin up or anything special, but my computer skill and my very effective and unique Backling techniques are outstanding.

Yes, it's hi-tech business, yet we need to be hi-touch, and the first step is by identifying ourselves who we are, even if it's just a photo.

GDI Forum has that option whereby forum members can update their profile photos with suggested pictures of musicians and artists. But the same pictures can be used by many other forum members. If you do that then you are likely to miss out on branding yourself well. I have tried to bring out some issues of building credibility and personal branding in two of my articles: "How To Build Credibility With Your Online Business To Win Your Customers' Trust" and "Personal Branding, A Key To Success In Your Business". I hope they can help to throw more light on what I am trying to bring out.
