Here are a few ways that should help newbes get traffic and links

add your site to as many directories as possible this help back linking

write some articles post to article directories

post to places like Digg Twiter Stumble Up this again brings high Page Rank back links

try a few traffic exchanges which are free, results will be low but you could get a few sign ups

post to as many forums as possible related to the ninch again back links and traffic

use free ads boards and free links exchanges

Blog commenting is the no. one for me. But it's important to tell people how serious you are at it, so do a few things like these. Install commenluv plugin, put up top commentators' list, put up an icon 'U Comment, I Comment Back'. Reward your top commentators monthly. When you get the message across to others, you tend to get even more traffic from people who are now more willing to visit your blog.

Is your blog dofollow. If not you should change it using the plugin I've mentioned to Kha. But it's a decision you have to make. It's highly debatable topic which I won't discuss here. A number of PIPS members' blog urls are already in my PR list like Stephen, Ben, Tom L. I could include you in my list if you want (free backlink too) if you've fulfilled the basic requirements (dofollow, top commentator, commentluv, at least PR1).

I'm thinking about buying those PIPS cards and give them to somebody I know or a person I happen to meet on the street. Who knows when they'll gonna need it...perhaps now? Maybe they'll keep it and may come in handy in the future. Or if they throw it away, I hope somebody could pick it up and take action...who knows?

Unlike PPC or the Guaranteed Visitors and the like, once they click "X", they're gone forever.

With all the online strategies , it's easy to forget about offline ways to drive traffic to your site and/or make a sale.

I also think it's a good transition for someone who's just adopting technology as part of their method.

You can buy expired domains at tdnam.com. It's owned by GoDaddy.com. There is an annual fee of $4.95 i think to access tdnam.com.

Most expired domains are obtained through bidding (min. $5), but there are "Buy Now" domains too.

I haven't tried this technique, but from what I get, the purpose of people buying expired domains is to find "hidden gems", meaning, domains that have existing Page Rank, that for some reasons, the previous owner had to abandon.

These expired domains will then be "flipped" for the new owner's purpose, and take advantage of the PR for link building purposes. It's a short cut to getting to "authority status" for a site than doing it starting from scratch.

Consider this as advance link building techniques. Something to consider in the future.

This is a just a simplistic explanation. Actually, it's more complicated than that.

There are many ways to generate traffic to PIPS site. The most important thing is to have discipline.. and plan your daily tasks( to-do list). It is simple and effective-if you use it regularly for example.
1- Day to write a new article add it to your blog/site or submit to ezinearticle.com etc
2-Grow your key contact list. You can find these in directory of ezines and drop them a message. This will increase link popularity.
2-Talk about solution to peoples' problems by surfing the web and get involved in discussions group/forum
Some of these daily tasks will pay off in the long run. It will only cost your time.. no dollars involved

My question is when we write article or any other traffic pulling idea should we send people to our custom built website or the the pips sale page???

Which is better to use?? My opinion would be the sales page is that what you experienced pips people would use remembering i have only the generic web page that everyone else has at the moment.

I would say both. You want to build backlinks to your home page, but driving traffic to the sales page is good as well. It doesn't hurt to have 2 links in your resource box. I usually do.
