Creativity with your Links
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi, Everyone.

So far the year has been good. I’ve been in front of my monitor doing some linking and promotions. I came across something I thought I needed to mention.

While I was looking through Link Machine I noticed a lot of Plug In Profit Sites with the same titles and descriptions. I’m mean dozens.

“Work at Home Ideas and Opportunities”

Let’s show some imagination, pretend you’re a Big Wall Street Ad Guy, the English language is amazing, we can say the same thing, but with different words.

So I did some pecking around on link pages and guess what I saw?

I saw rows and rows of links that all looked the same.

When setting up your site settings at Link Machine you should be creative and stand out. Make people want to click on your link. We might all be part of a group that is similar, but we are still individuals, by adding a little personality to your links and home page can mean a lot. Maybe the difference in someone surfing through or a sale.

I’ll stop ranting, but I just though that was weird.

Happy Profiting,
Dan

Hi Dan,
You are right, and this is a great tip for all new members who join PIPS and use the different platforms that Stone recommends.

Personally I don't use Link Machine, but I use other methods and I see the same happening in TEs, ezines I get, solo-ads etc.

In the 30 day guide, Stone only giving examples. Yes, this will make you life easier, but it will not help your business.

In this business you need to think out side the box, and keep changing things. Even if something is working for you, most likely others will peek it up and use it too.

If you are trying to sell - use your imagination and be creative.
If you just want to gain a backlink - use your own keywords.

Tanny

This is a great post actually, and very true!! The only good thing I like about everyone writing "Work at Home Ideas and Opportunities" is that I know which are Plug-in Profit Sites and don't need to bother clicking them to check them out! Saves ME time!

However, you want people to click to your site and look at it, so if you can carefully select appropriate keywords and use that in Link Machine, as well as in your blog and article titles, and paragraphs throughout, then you will get more clicks and potential customers!

Also what is Google going to think? After all that is the reason for using LinkMachine in the first place. Google are going to know your site is just like all the rest and is not going to give you any love.

Make it unique and target different keywords and Google will start to take notice, and make sure you are constantly changing your anchor text and description. If all of your back links have exactly the same anchor text then thats a big red flag.

If you are using LinkMachine you should also make sure your template matches the rest of the site and go through the code and remove any comments or anything at all which may leave a footprint that you are using a reciprocal linking directory.
