Adsense - Is Ok With PIPS Site?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I have added Adsense Plugin on my PIPS Site. But incidentally, I have not seen many websites of PIPS members I have visited having it installed. I became a little bit doubtful as to whether it's acceptable by Google to have Adsense on a site with other affiliate programs promoted like PIPS.
Is it ok for me to have it on? Any incompliancy as for now? Any constructive feedback is highly welcome to save my Adsense Account from being banned for incompliancy.

Hello,

Most PIPS sites I have seen as people have developed them to make them "their own" do include adsense.

Thanks

Yes that is true what Jeff said. I have some comments on that though.

#1 It is sometimes difficult to get the publishers code from Google and they do cite stupid stuff like they don't like traffic exchanges - they are actually against autosurf - Traffic Swarm is a manual exchange and as such in no way is an autosurf.

They have various reasons to deny someone and the main thing that helps is adding a number of your own unique blog posts so they don't give you the reason that your site is duplicated.

#2 In my opinion it is not that great of an idea to have Adsense on your site - but it is good for SEO I think.

The reason it is not great is this. All your links are set up to open in a new window when you click them. This leaves your website open and when the person is done looking at whatever site they clicked, they will be back to your site. ("rel="nofollow" target=_blank")

With Adsense they do not use this and when someone clicks a link on your site, they LEAVE YOUR SITE to go to your competitors.

So maybe you made 25 cents from Adsense - but you may have lost a customer forever who could have represented substantial residual income from your affiliate programs.

This makes no sense to me. I do have Adsense on some of my sites but it is not at the very top-most important place - it is down on the sidebar, so it is not the first thing they see and they have a chance to actually look at what you have to offer.

#3 The people who really make money from Adsense have sites totally dedicated to that - like a 'niche mini-sites' - So if I was really serious about making money from Adsense I would do it that way...

Just my opinion on all this and some might disagree with my thinking - feel free to state your opinion or ignore mine. It's a free 'country', the 'world-wide-web'.

Your websites are actually your own business and you can do whatever you want as long as it is not illegal or immoral (no porn, gambling, hate, etc).

People need to cut the cord eventually and do their research to make the best decisions for their business. Google is like a massive encyclopedia and I would bet you could find the answer to any dilemma there if you spent some time querying and reading.

Thanks Pat for enlightening us on that. I have taken your points seriously and I think many other forum members will learn a lot from your observation and contribution.

I personally don't recommend you guy add Google adsense.

Focus on building long term residual income with the PIPS and all of the other MLM's.

I think Patricia covered most of the main reasons actually.

In my opinion I wouldnt add it to my site mainly for the idea of having them leave my site (when they click an Adsense link) to go to another affiliate site or simular site and maybe sign up there. The key is to add useful information to your site that will make them want to stay and hopefully convert into a sale. With the PIPS site I would focus on growing your downline instead of the Adsense.

If you are really set on Adsense I would recommend setting up another site that is information based. (Like a niche site for working at home, etc) Of course have links to your PIPS site and your other sites but include Adsense there. That way your not taking away from a product, your just providing information and making a few more streams of income.

Hope you find these ideas useful. Best of luck!

I've seen this discussion a lot in various forums but the main point seems to be giving the viewer an opertunity to leave your site. I've been using it on one of mine for about a year. It doesn't generate a lot of revenue, but then again I've placed it below the content I want visitors to see. If you do go with it, you'll probably want to track the results to see if your visitors find it more appealing than your site content.

Adsense is another income stream you can achieve from your visitors. They might be leaving your site either way, they may aswell leave via an adsense ad.

It's all about having multiple income streams and adsense can be a major benefit to your business if used right

I've been using Google AdSense on my site since I started my PIP site. I have installed them manually, no plugins or whatever, I have put them there (the AdSense codes) manually. It's OK. No problem with Google. Just don't put them near affiliate links or banners with "click here" sign.

Also, don't place them near Amazon ads, or better remove Amazon ads (if you have) for your AdSense sake. I have met people online who's AdSense accounts were disabled because of Amazon ads.

@talfighel: I got your point there. Go for long term income. So, I go for both, long term and short term (AdSense), because you never know what kind of traffic your site will be getting, like me, much of my visitors are Asians (Filipinos), and I have observed most of them wants to earn internet income but are not willing to invest money. When they join us, they just join the free programs like SFI and never upgrade.

With this situation, what benefit I will get from them if I cannot squeeze any money from their joining? So, I realized, temporarily I have to include Google AdSense on my site. At least, I am getting paid from the "out clicks" of these "free income program seekers". I won't get that if they click an SFI banner/link.

Just realized Pat's #2 and #3. Thanks Pat. Although it is easier to make money with AdSense, the amount is significantly lower than the amount I can get when someone sign-up for PIPS. With this, I'm now rearranging my site, putting PIPS banner up higher, and the AdSense banner lower.
