Has anyone tried to download Instantbuzz? I tried to 3or4 times and it downloaded trojans on my computer. Needless to say I quit trying. Can or has this issue been fixed?

InstantBuzz Warning Received - Error/Inability to Download. The message for InstantBuzz (IB) is a false positive. The reason is because IB is actually ADWARE which would only be bad if you didn't want to install it or didn't know it was installing on your system. In this case you are purposely trying to install it. The way that it replicates itself to each user, is exactly how trojans and worms behave. These are the 2 reasons why you are seeing this virus message. Having said that you should still scan it because stranger things have happened than an actual virus getting into it. They will say '2% of users have an issue' -- it really depends on your level of security and if you want to circumvent the warnings to go ahead and download it. Some more sensitive anti-adware programs will constantly tell you it is a pup (possibly unwanted program) every time you scan your machine. I guess you have to determine for yourself whether the risk is worth it. Some people do have problems with it - not a virus per se, but just in it 'messing up' their system (memory, etc) - If you still have problems please contact Instant Buzz: TheCustomerHelpDesk.com no response? then email mikefilsaimesupport@gmail.com ralph.mikefilsaimesupport@gmail.com |

Just to add my two cents, I quit Instantbuzz because I did not like the way my browser was behaving with it, though I gave it a good test. I felt it was better to forego Instantbuzz's potential benefits in favor of being able to get the the sites I needed to visit quickly and without difficulty. And yes, I received frequent virus warnings while it was installed, though these didn't worry me too much. I just did not like how the program behaved on my system, and I needed to maintain good browser performance to attend to varous things. Just thought I'd share my experience. Jeremy |

I had many of the same issues with their tool bar "getting in the way" per say. I also had to tell my pc security software to (ignore it) as a rule. Then the uncomfortable factor set in. I examined its usefulness and just deleted the whole thing after a week or so. I must be in the 2% that Patrician was explaining. However, once that toolbar was uninstalled my pc was back to normal. I think maybe there is a little more to it than a compatibility issue with some users. I liked the idea but never began to see its true potential. |

Thanks for your reply on this matter. I also chose to uninstall this software due to misc. problems that were created after the fact. Again thanks. Gary |

When I did the uninstall, it left a few files behind creating some problems. Make sure you get all the files deleted. Cheers....Leon |

Yes, that was my major complaint, that a month after I uninstalled it, it was still trying to boot up when I turned on my computer. I could just see a little message like an irritating little bug and then it would go away. ...but not go away. There were fragments in the registry and at the time I had to go into the start/run/ 'regedit' and carefully remove the registry folder for IB - that finally did it. (BE VERY careful if you do this as if you delete the wrong thing some programs may not work anymore). Now I would just use ccleaner at ccleaner.com to clean your registry and delete the fragments. What a pain. Mike Filsaime says '2% of people have an issue' - judging from this thread it is more like 99%... |

After reading everyone's comments, all I can say is that thank goodness my system would not allow me to download Instant Buzz! I just kept on getting the message that this was a Potentially Unwanted Program. IanF395 |
