Hi everyone, I'm Orxan. I joined PIPS nearly a year ago. But some months ago when I was in PIPS Power Group, I decided to run my own niche site. As I'm a professional hypnotist, I run my hypnosis blog at Hypnosis and Self Hypnosis Secrets - Learn How to Hypnotize I want to get to the front page for the keyword "hypnosis". I'm getting lots of backlinks and I'm sure I can reach to the Google's front page in one day. But I think my on-site optimization is not good at all. For example, My h1 tags changes everytime when I make new post, so some day, my blog in page 5 of Google and today is 12. How can I improve my on-site SEO? I'm sure there are some great experts - like Suzanne M., Jeff C., Jeff S., Cynthia M., Ken T. and others here who know SEO stuff fine and I think you can direct me to the right way. So, what should I change on my blog for the maximum onsite SEO? All answers are appreciated. Regards, Orxan |

Are you looking for a business opportunity that’s property related? Well, the answer may be closer than you think – right on your doorstep perhaps. In fact, there’s money to be made anywhere you see a property for sale. Let me explain… | |

Hi everybody, Thanks for the welcome. I know it is a great book about website SEO. The problem is that my site is blog. On site SEO of blogs is much different than other sites. Because you have to change the homepage with new content and it affects you SE ranking. So, I want to make such onsite SEO that adding new content didn't affect my homepage's SE ranking.Orxan |

Orxan Check your keywords in your source. Two many of the same words in a phrase (hypnosis) can hurt your ranking. Also a lot of your links are before your meta tags. Might need to get them closer to your H1. I really do not know if I am right or not but to 2 o3 keywords in the first paragraph and 1 or 2 in your last should help get you an good ranking. Hope this helps Jim |

Thanks everyone above who recommended my Ebook. Orxan is right, there are definitely a lot of differences between optimizing a blog and a static site. I am actually working on creating a Wordpress SEO guide, so watch this space ![]() Here is what I would do... (1) Be sure to install the All in One SEO Pack plugin (2) Make sure you have your permalinks setup so that the name of your post is in the URL (3) Remember that there is always the option with Wordpress of having a static front page or static first post on the home page (optionally followed by the latest x number of posts or some snippets of the latest posts) (4) I would divide my keyword research into two: a) Choose 1 or 2 competitive phrases for my site in general. Perhaps phrases that get more than 3000 searches per month in Google b) Make a bigger list of less competitive phrases - mainly phrases that have little competition and get only a few hundred searches per month in Google (5) Every time I write a post I choose one of the phrases in my (b) list and put that phrase in the post title and a couple of times throughout the actual blog post. This makes sure that each blog post is indivudally optimized. (6) For the phrase(s) in my (a) list I would optimize my static home page post (if applicable) for that phrase. I would also ensure that the keywords were mentioned in the blog name, in the sidebars (i.e. any place that remains static), perhaps once in the footer and in the alt attribute of a couple of the images. You will probably need to edit some theme files and also some widgets to achieve this. (7) Backlink building - build backlinks to my home page using my main keywords in (a) using the usual techniques like article distrubution, press releases, directory submission, blog commenting, forum posting. (8) Deep Linking - get backlinks to individual posts or pages as well using the appropriate keywords from (b). Also social bookmark individual posts. This should help to drive search engine traffic to both your home page and individual blog posts. Cheers, Suzanne |
