Lightbulb Search engine tip

If you tried many of the free ads to gain web traffic with no results, and want to get you pips site off to the races but are flat broke, well I have found something that may help and backed by Better Business Bureau. It will get you on at least two hundred search engines for just ten dollars a month and work with you to get where you need to be in a short time. This person specializes in clone suites such as ours. His name is Mike Armijo and I spoke to him twice already. He says he deals with alot PiPs member. His number is 1-888- 617 -8900 ext:-109. I am mentioning this because some of us needs a hand up rather then a hand out. Just want to help others in my position

Hi,

Wrong!

You can only get ranked in the search engines by natural ways....

SEO, article writing, blogging etc...

Take care

Using search engine submission services is a bad way to get your site indexed. You're doing more harm than good. Use the methods that Jeff mentioned, and your site will get indexed in no time flat.

Arrow update on search engine tips

Despite what you may think Jeff, there is many roads to a destination but they eventually end up at the destination. Darin emailed me about a hands of soft ware that will do it all for a fee per month. You haven't spoken with this individual that I mentioned. I am by no means techno literate but I still get find out a thing or two. I have submitted manually to twenty of them myself for free. The rate of new things coming into the market is making things easier for newbies all the time. There is nothing organic about any of this just systematic.

When I was new to Internet marketing I was full of questions. So I came here and asked them. The wonderful part was the answers were given freely. After that i decided to never look a gift horse in the mouth. Then I applied what I learned and began making money.

Hi Carline,

Submitting your site to the search engines is a waste of time or money.

Google, Yahoo & MSN make up about 96% of the search engine market and they are all "crawlers" which mean that they will find your site by following links from other websites. They will rank your site according based on the keywords on your page AND the number & quality of backlinks that you have.

I wrote a more detailed article about this on my SEO blog here:
http://www.3stepstosearchenginesucce...-search-engine

Submitting your site to search engines won't harm you, but it won't help you either.

Cheers,
Suzanne

Hi Carline,

Yes there are many roads to a destination but in internet marketing there are often people and companies that provide forks in the road that if taken will provide many potholes.

Some of us have given you our opinion and then its up to you to make the best choice possible....

How about give us 2 or 3 of the search engines that were submitted to? Remember there are only 4-5 main search engines needed and if you properly optimize your site and constantly give update your website with fresh new content the search engines will automatically pick up your website without you doing anything.

Any company telling you they can get you ranked high are companies that "perhaps" might get you ranked high for some search term that no one even searches for therefore provide you with no traffic.....

For example....you should get your signature file set up here in the WF so we:

1) Can see your current website..

2) It creates a backlink for you which is the right way to drive traffic naturally to your site....and use anchor text which will help your ranking for that particular search term.

Whichever road you choose beware of the potholes...

Good luck to you!
Jeff Casmer!

Hi, Carline:

Submitting a site to search engines doesn't seem to produce the desired result.

Submitting a site to link directories might stand a better chance of producing some results. Does your recommended contact submit your site to search engines ... or link directories ... or both?

You can benefit from the experience of others in two ways - find out what they do that works, and find out what are mistakes. They do not have any agenda except they want to help you as they were helped when they were new. (and hope you in turn will help others who come after you)

I wasted so much money when I was new, because I had to go 'my own way' and instead of listening to the advice freely given by real people with no agenda, I believed people who wanted to sell me something.

Search Engine Optimization is at the same time both simple and complex. It's not rocket science, however. The search engines also often change the criteria that they use to send traffic to websites.

Sometimes less is more - they want to see NATURAL backlinks. (ORGANIC) from valuable CONTENT created from your efforts.

When there are gimmicks and ways to give MORE links or more submissions that are UNNATURAL, they will soon look at the same critieria and view it in the opposite way - as spam or scam.

Depending on the severity/volume, sometimes they will "slap" you to some degree - from ignoring your links because they are meaningless, to sandboxing you, (reduce your page rank temporarily*) all the way to blacklisting you where you will not be listed in their index (and will get no traffic. ("temporary" can be months to years, depending)

So sometimes wrong things we do will just waste our time and money, and others will actually harm our chances for success and I am speaking from actual experience from a LINK directory submission scheme that had me sandboxed and no matter what I did after that or undid, it went on for a long, long time.

It is wise to have a mindset that allows you to accept that this is a learning experience that is dynamic - always something more to learn. Many techniques tauted today stopped working in the 1900s but they are still said to be 'the thing' because people make money selling them to people who don't know any better yet -

I also need to mention that in addition to what others in this thread are saying in regard to forum protocol:

Please post one thread with one topic (and thanks for doing so).

Then go back to that same thread and respond if people make comments, and/or add more questions or comments of your own on that same topic.

Please don't start another thread on the same topic when there is already one active on the first page of the index.

Just double click on the thread topic you have started, in order for it to open up and then go down to the bottom of the comments and add either with the 'Post Reply' button on the left, or type in the 'Quick Reply' box below.

Please read the forum rules about how to create a signature. You are missing a great opportunity to create valuable backlinks.
