In the forum sites I am participating with, members are discussing and sharing how hard they were hit by these recent Google Updates---Panda, and now---Penguin! I'm wondering, what's next? Maybe a Cheetah Update? LOL I am a member of PIPS for more than a year now. I used to get traffic and customers through manual labor, like posting ads in free classified websites, participating in forums with my signature tailing behind me, and other "work hard get traffic strategies". I got tired doing things that way so I decided to learn SEO. And just in time, when I started becoming a student of SEO, Google started bringing out freaking updates like these. I can see friends scrambling with their feet trying to save their sites and their rankings! What a timing... I am now asking myself, am I lucky, or not? Now, thinking of the bottom-line... why are these things happening? Are people really gone bad they have tried manipulating Google so bad and now Google is fighting back? What should we do so that Google won't hate our sites? Is there a manual or a page that explains Google's policy for webmasters to follow? Maybe there are experts here who know these things well. Can you help us? Can you share to us the link to that page (if there's any) so we can learn more and not violate Google's wishes? Please share... please.... |

Yes, that's my blog. It's a one-week old blog. I discarded my old blog, so this is a new one. And I will treat this more seriously than my previous one. I'd like to ask, what's the ideal time frame for a new blog to have let's say 1,000 backlinks? Does it look natural for a new blog to have that in a month or two? And what's your opinion about Paul's backlinks recommended in 30daystosuccessguide.com? Are links like that still good in Google's eyes, in reference with these recent Google Updates? |

... but again, how much money will 'ranking' put in your pocket? Remember the name of this game is SALES - sure ranking may help traffic and traffic obviously helps sales. People here are too focused on search engines (and they are critical) but you need to start thinking about BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS. Act natural - forget the gimmicks but remember - 'you are what you eat'. If all you eat is how can you please and appease Google, I hope they buy something from you or join a program in your downline because unless you start focusing on PEOPLE - (You know them? The ones with the money?) and building RELATIONSHIPS, you may be Number Uno with Google but you may still not be making any sales. Focus on SALES, not ranking. (you could argue one leads to the other and I don't argue that point) - my point is FOCUS (on sales). Act NATURAL - talk to PEOPLE not ROBOTS. |
