Hi All, I would like to know, if I wanted to post someone else's article on my blog, is that allowed? Do I need permission from them or something? Or do I just cut and paste and make sure I include their resource box? Thanks Belinda |

Hi Belinda, Yes, you're right. If you want to post someone else's article on your blog, it's usually allowed as long as you make sure that you include their resource box. There's no necessary need to get their permission but you can ask them if you want. Asher |

I like the idea of letting the author know you've used their article on your blog by sending them a quick email with the link to your blog post. This not only makes an author feel good, but allows them to check out the links and make sure they are working properly. Liane |

Hi Belinda, I think it is a nice touch to let someone know if you post their article on your site. You may strike up a relationship that will benefit you down the road. Alan |

Thank you for your advice everyone. I think it would be best to email the author. Thanks again. Belinda |

Also, when posting articles to your own blog, I have found it is convenient to add a line after the resource box stating that the article can be published elsewhere as long as the resource box stays intact. You can see an example of how I do this on my blog. This makes it easy for others who may want to use one of my articles... no guessing involved. Cheers, Alan |
