Hey, PIPSters:

Anyone else having problems with their Blogger blog today? I can't get my post to post. I keep getting this message:

java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host
java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host
java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host...

It posts that message about eight times and it looks like the system keeps trying to post the blog, but it just keeps cycling without ending.

To my knowledge, nothing has changed since I successfully posted two days ago. Makes me think it is an issue with Blogger, not with my blog.

Unless it's an issue with Host4Profit?

Anybody have this experience, or know what's causing it or what to do about it?

GT, I had the same problem Christmas Day. It is a Blogger problem. I went to the "Blogger Help Group" and a lot of people were having the same problem. Not everyone because I just made a post to my Blogger blog and had no problems. Must be certain servers each time.

It took a few hours when it happened to me. (Twice in the same day)

I had a feeling it was a Blogger.com issue. I'll keep trying to post my post (about Twitter) until it is successful!

I'm not having that exact problem, but I tried to set my blogger blog to publish to my personal website via FTP and it wouldn't. It kept coming up with a message saying it was taking longer than usual to upload the files. When I checked the directory on my site, the folders were created but no files were inside. I set it with the proper permissions and all so I don't know what's wrong.

I did notice in the help group though that there are a lot of complaints about FTP problems. I hope they fix whatever it is so I can do it that way.

For some reason also, some of the RSS Submission and Pinging services that use validators say that my blog failed the validator for one reason or another. I can't put my finger on exactly why, but I'm certain it's a problem with blogger itself, because all I have edited are the links on the side of the page and of course my posts.

I also wish I could stick a few banners up on my blog, but apparently they don't allow banners. Annoying!

Hello:

Yes, there are a few Blogger Help Group threads going and the problems involve the No Route thing as well as FTP trouble.

Fortunately, I found some support that helped me solve my problem for now. Another blogger said to clear cache, then re-set the problem post to Draft status, then republish.

I didn't know how to reset to Draft status, but I already had two copies of the problem blog, one of them in draft status, so I republished and it worked! In fact, it published BOTH copies! So, the problem has to be with Blogger, as Leon pointed out earlier.
