Of course there is a LOT more to Article Marketing than what was covered in the video. To cover everything would take quite a few hours of non-stop videos.

However, article marketing has always been and probably will always be about the TWO areas that Dustin spoke of.

HIGH QUALITY CONTENT and a CONSISTENT STREAM OF CONTENT.

See what SeoMoz.com has to say about quality content:

How Usability, Experience and Content Affect Search Engine Rankings ? The Beginners Guide to SEO

Here's an article regarding Consistent Streams of Content and it's importance.

http://www.zemanta.com/blog/please-y...e-web-junkies/

As long as you follow these two golden rules, all your time spent writing and publishing will eventually get you the traffic and the sales that you are working to acquire.

Dustin hit it right on the head. Good video and thanks Dustin

The KEY with article marketing is that you also need to post new one on a daily basis. I have learned that in the years that I have written many articles. Plus, it should not be your only main source of traffic generation technique. When you do combine many at the same time that are effective, you are bound to succeed.

This is very interesting about frequency and a perspective you may not have considered, published in this thread by professional bloggers.

Re: Article Marketing Tips

What I do is put the original UNSPUN articles on my primary website/blog - ONLY on my website/blog. I then spin each article and do a nested spin on my titles for each article.

This provides some variations of the original article. DO NOT use your spun article for every submission site. Use different articles on different sites.

If you want to avoid Google slaps, then all you need to do is create a new spun article for each submission campaign. I would submit the spun article to no more than 3 BLOGs and then use a different spun article for the next round of blog submissions.

Also, Google will only slap you if you get too agrgressive in your submissions... (if you get too many links all at one time... or if you use the same exact spun article for all your submissions).

You should also vary your anchor text, spin your anchor text and make sure you only use about 50% keywords and 50% anchor text that is not related to your product or service.

Varying your anchor text is very important with Google and the search engines in general.

So, instead of using specific keywords with a link to your product, website, or blog, use non related anchor text such as click here, read this, check this out, for more information, etc...

If you just use anchors that are about make money at home, etc..., then Google knows that is not real, and it will slap you.

Also, depending on the size of your article, you should have one hyperlink for articles less than 500 words, two hyperlinks for 500 words or larger. If you use plugins that provide you links, then do not put links in your about author section. I prefer to stay away from links inside my article text and then I change my about the author box constantly so I present the search engines with something different all the time.

I personally like putting my very 1st hyperlink above the start of the article with a keyword and then use the non keyword hyperlink in the end of the article in the author box or the very last sentence of the article.

I do this because the first thing a search engine will see is my link and a keyword and the last thing they see is another link to my website with a non-keyword link. While I'm not sure, as I haven't read anything about this method, IMHO I always believe this provides the search engines with an idea of what the article is about, as well as they can then spider the link back to my site.

Example:

About Blogging

Article Text asdlkfjaskldfjklasjdflk
asl;dkjfalsdjflkasjdflkajsdflkjlsdjflld
asdlkfjasdklfjlaksdjf

Last sentence lskdjasldfjaslkdf for more information please visit AboutBloggin.com

Hope this makes sense.

Allen

I agree with this one, especially with the release of Penguin updates. Article Marketing nowadays tends to be more complicated with some of the directories themselves no longer allowing articles that are remotely similar to another one that has already been posted somewhere. Of course, one also has to realize that you cannot depend on article marketing alone. You also have to maximize your use of various social networks.
